What Kind Of Gov' Is This? by kushme(op):
What kind of Gov' is this?
So, there is an elderly retiree i sometimes gist with, i saw him today and he looked worried, i greeted him, he answered and kept quiet. Unlike him, he would have said more than just answering the greetings. After few minutes of keeping quiet, the next think he said was "what kind of gov' is this?"

I looked at him and asked what the matter was, he said, he transfered 60k to someone from his Access account and 19k was removed as tax. So, me, i don't understand oh. Thats way too much oh.. If tax like this is removed from transfers, then prices of commodities would go up in due time. Wetin them dey use the tax money do self?

Modified: So, today i saw Baba and asked him how far? He said he visited the bank and his money(20k plus) was reversed, he said, the bank even confirmed that the reversal happened midnight saturday. That's the update. I don't have reason to lie or generate stories to paint any one or gov bad. I be real person wey no send, i try to say things the way it is.

Post prove of the allegation.
Re: What Kind Of Gov' Is This? by SmartPolician: 3:16pm On Jan 16
He should go straight to his bank for explanation. Everything shouldn't be blamed on the government and everything shouldn't be brought to Nairaland either.
Re: What Kind Of Gov' Is This? by badaru911: 3:16pm On Jan 16
... That's not tax oo, he should go to his bank and ask them o before they start mopping his money in the bank...

Okay thanks, i go tell Baba. Again, stop saying people should not bring everything to nairaland. People wey get experience dey here. And removing 19k from a 60k transfer is not everything or everyday thing. Gov' dey contribute to people wahala, so relax and stop defending government with everything.

We have bursted this lies severally yet some of you are still pushing it robotically.

Whatever charges on the transaction can't pass N80. If you get money for your account you can send as test. Dem say Dem say with no prove

Make una stop circulating fake information

Usual pulling stories from the air. You guys don't bother if the stories make sense or not, as you think everyone has the mental capability of a 3 year old.

You are lying so shamelessly. To what end really? Politics? I can’t even blame. I will blame those who will delete my comment instead of enforcing rule 8.

Can't they even make the transfer themselves as test to confirm before making false allegations or na so their account balance dry? When I first saw a lady on the 2nd of January lying about same thing, I did transfer myself to confirm

Re: What Kind Of Gov' Is This? by Jakarta: 5:09pm On Jan 16
That's a big fat lie, baba should go to his bank and ask questions. I've sent 80k, 60k, 45k today from opay, GT, and UBA no tax charge of sort.

No government in her right senses will tax even 10k for transfers of 60k and above. Na civil war dat government dey find be that.

Since Access Bank is mentioned, I will not doubt the narrative. However, the right question, which has not been asked, is: who stole the money?. Between Tinubu and Access Bank, I will not exonerate the bank.

What is your current situation? You’re broke and jobless? Is that why you have to concoct this wicked lie?

If you’re in need of a job, speak out and we may get someone to help you. If you’re jobless under Tinubu, there is every certainty you will still be broke and jobless under another president. You’re your own problem and not the president.

I have been broke and between jobs for a long time pucci. Now, i understood the pressure people face just to state their bad experience here, guess i am experiencing, too. Are you paid to defend it, rather than probe it? Gaddamit. I even stated the Bank Baba used for the theiving taxing and transacting.. Then, you still defend it by calling me a liar. Damn. I weak. 😓

Lastly, i didn't call the President, i said Gov'.

Again, with the bold, i can easily see how wicked and mockery-minded most of you are. You feel good when you see other black brothers(regardless of ethnicity, etc) suffer.
Black on black hate. Unlike the jews(regardless of country). They support their race and keep their wealth in the race and community...
So, if i am poor and jobless, i should not have a voice? hmmm, my fellow black damn brother who is one tribe away from me.

I want to assume you are educated so my response to you will be based on the logical meaning you find in that story.

How do you assume 19k deduction is solely for tax deduction if truly you are educated.

Where is the place of common sense in this?

Haven't you made a transfer of up to 50k this year, how much was deducted from such transfer you made?

Why bringing unverified claim here when you could have help the old man trace what actually caused the deduction.

It's not voice you lack, what you lack is common sense.

You mean if you give conductor 1k t-fare for a trip that should cost you 200naura and the conductor tell you he has removed 800naira as tax, you will go crying to your wife that the government is bad?
Re: What Kind Of Gov' Is This? by RealityKings1: 7:18pm On Jan 16
Hope the man showed your the narration of the deductions?
Re: What Kind Of Gov' Is This? by helinues: 7:24pm On Jan 16
The ironic part about the false claim on tax deduction, it's those who have been accusing others of collecting N30K to support the government have been the one making such claim.

My own curiosity is, have they not made a single bank transfer transaction this year to verify themselves without disgracing themselves on social media?

Don't assume, i am not educated as you, cos i only teach less logical mathematics.
Now, after reaching out to Baba for evidence, he provided the following

Education is not the subject here, what matters is the application of common sense in processing information.

When you made transfer was such amount charged from your account?

Why directly blame government when you don't even have capacity to process what you were told

From your pictures, maybe the Baba made a mistake of sending it 4x instead of 3x. What I saw there was that he was charged 62 naira for every transaction. Do the math and you see. It looks like 4 transactions, not 3.

Will give you approx 81k.

What is the solution? He can ask the recipient to send the 20k back.

Are you serious? Do you hate truth or pretend a lot for your belle? How would a learned man type this. If this na the educated(deceptive) people to defend thieves we believe in, then its not new.
