Hello House, My 6 months visa expired few months ago and I want to re-apply. Do I go for 2 yrs or 5 yrs? I was thinking 2 yrs initially, but my colleaague says I might as well do 5 yrs. I would like to get opinions pls. Thanks |
| Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by Cashmadam: 1:08pm On Jan 16 |
MsAnonymous:Yes you can apply for 2, 5 or 10 years. I know someone who got 10 years as his first UK visa. |

Prime504:It all depends on the type of agency and what your profile entails. There are many experienced and transparent agencies who genuinely reduce the stress associated with travel preps and the mountain of information needed to navigate your way to the abroad. Be wary of empty promises of some agencies who will promise you a visa but are all talk but no action. For example, if you have HND and need help with SOP, get a good agency to assist through all the hassles. But if your profile is straightforward and glitch-free, then by all means, do the application yourself. All the same, be very careful out there! |

Hello everyone, please I just want to know if I can transit the Schengen area with a uk visit visa. |
| Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by EfikoTraveler(m): 4:49pm On Jan 17 |
Length86:Generally NO. You'll need a Schengen ATV in addition to your UK visitor's visa. Or better still avoid Schengen transit entirely |
| Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by EfikoTraveler(m): 5:15pm On Jan 17 |
Goodluck70000:You'll need an accredited CAC agent to help you calculate the annual returns you're owing and then help you file it After your agent files, CAC will issue you a letter of acknowledgement. It is with this letter that your agent will apply for your business' reactivation |
| Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by Goodluck70000: 6:14pm On Jan 17 |
EfikoTraveler:Efiko travel thanks for ur response I use to pay my tax to FRS every month, and they issues tax payment invoices every month,so which money are we going to pay CAC for them to reactive my CAC? |
| Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by EfikoTraveler(m): 7:48pm On Jan 17 |
Goodluck70000:Hi, Goodluck. Your tax payments to FIRS and annual returns to CAC are two different requirements for 2 separate agencies. If your business name or LLC must remain active with CAC, you must file annual returns, it's like your business report card so to say. And they're usually not that expensive (about 5k or so). So I advise you contact an agent to help you with reactivation (To reactivate, you'll pay annual returns + late fees for each year) and always file your annual returns with CAC promptly. Hope this helps |

123sussy:Hi, I read your response about being a software tester. Recently I've been thinking of moving from content creation to software testing because I find coding challenging at my age (I want to pick ST over software development or engineering). Please, what is the job prospect like in ST? I mean, are there available jobs in the field? I look forward to your response. |

If you have a valid USA or Canada visa you can transit. Length86: |
| Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by Cashmadam: 9:57am On Jan 19 |
Giftedmilli:No, not likely. Very rare for anyone to ask you. You might be asked to provide evidence of your return flight to Nigeria and your address in the UK. Of cos, you should know why you are in the UK. You will most likely be asked that. |

toms55:Of course, include her bank statements. That will prove that you do give her monthly allowance and the lump sum explained in the SOP will be covered as well |

toms55:Not necessary. Please don't input any amount where they ask how much she would be spending as they denied my friend's mum because of this. |

I would like to bring in my sister through study route. Any recommendation of a university in Greater Manchester that accepts HND? She also has an MBA though. |

| Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by jmoore(m): 1:21pm On Jan 20 |
toms55:Write 1 pound as the amount she will be spending personally. Then in the other field of 'will anyone be contributing to the trip', write the amount you will be sponsoring her with. |

Good afternoon everyone. Please I need advise about inviting my friend. She works in Nigeria and earns 702k. She lost her husband few years ago and has a daughter of three years old. She lives in the house that was built by her and her late husband. She started the job early last year and spends 120k from her salary monthly according to her. She told me she bought a mobile phone of 250k from that same account in December and got the receipt of purchase. Her current balance is 3.8m. Please how much can she state she want to spend and what are the document she can include in her application. She is coming alone to spend two weeks and her daughter will stay back in Nigeria. Thank you all. |
| Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by jmoore(m): 3:31pm On Jan 20 |
lawrins8:1: Expenses has to reflect on the statement of account being presented. All debits are judged as expenses. 2. You have to check the cost of roundtrip and other expenses during the 2 weeks stay. That will determine how much she can spend. 3. Documents to prove house ownership, employment letter, leave approval letter, her child's birth certifate, picture of her and the child. |
