She disclosed that she found his international passport, which showed his year of birth as 1972, indicating that he is actually 51 years old.

The shocking discovery left her emotionally distressed, as she said she had been crying since realizing the truth.

When confronted, the man reportedly dismissed her concerns, insisting that age is just a number and claiming he was unaware that he was already 51 years old. This response further deepened her pain and confusion.

The woman expressed regret over her decision, noting that she had previously turned down a 37-year-old suitor, only to end up marrying a much older man who allegedly deceived her.

She lamented that in ten years’ time, her husband would be in his sixties while she would still be in her thirties.

It's not new. My dad is in his late 80s and my mum in her 60s. It wasn't until his 80th birthday that we knew his actual age. His sister sent a special birthday message in church. We didn't have any big celebration, nothing special, because we didn't know it was his 80th birthday. It will be hard to explain that to anyone. My mum was in shock.

There is a yoruba adage that says'ile ti a ba fi ito mo iri la a wo' relationship built on lies won't last and the foundation will crumble since it isn't solid why lie about your age?if he remove such huge numbers of years from his age what other humongous lies could he has added with it?he could even be having a second family somewhere even his genotype could also be false

Age is a matter of number yeah but it doesn't mean you should lie about it if he had told her his real age if she really wanted a very elderly man she would have flown with it from the get-go,and if she wasn't she could have left for another lady who wanted that our preferences are different as I like younger men it doesn't mean the age gap should be up to 10 and the guy should lie to me it is just 4 years.
