They need to make sure they don’t rush him back. That is the sort of injury that can become niggling if not managed well the first time.

Also the way I'm looking at Shaw. He should not play the next game at all. I can see something coming..

Fulham should not even matter. Its at the end of the season that his performance should be reviewed and judged.

Leemao... whether una like am or not, Amorim had a tremendous impact on this team and that's set in stone already.

Imagine the audacity to even pretend as though the man came in and did nothing.

Nobody says anything positive about him as if he never came to the club undecided

And then when you try to open the eyes of some blind bats to some cool impacts the man has had, they try to shut you down. Imagine the gaddem audacity.

Some of you prefer no one talking about the guy like his legacy ought to be dead and buried even though we're benefiting from his good works.

Granted, he didn't get some things right but are we pretending as though some of this players weren't trying to sabotage him?

I'm not his fan but we must always point out the truth and nobody will stop anybody from pointing that out.

Give him his flowers tongue

Adam Lawrence is back at the club to coach the Under-21s.

Very good news. Hopefully the quality of football will get even better.

Flowers kor, trees nii. The team’s performance on the pitch is the only metric for determining a manager’s impact. Meanwhile, the sale and purchase of players were/are done by his employers. He had several other players in mind, but they said no, I believe that’s one of the reasons he remained stubborn which eventually got him sacked.

Better follow him to Portugal. No dey whine us for here.

Thanks for this timely response. Amorim’s fans keep trying to reverse history of a few weeks ago.
Amorim was a terrible coach who thought he was Jose Mourinho when in actual fact he was a low budget version of Andre Villas Boas at Chelsea. A fly who regarded himself as a bird. So arrogantly full of himself.
A few weeks ago when Manchester United were playing Newcastle,Amorim tried Dorgu in the midfield where Dorgu performed very well but by the next match Amorim reversed and returned Dorgu to the defence.
The sins of Amorim are just too numerous to mention. Amorim’s fans should just keep quiet and let his disastrous legacy fade into the horizon.
Michael Carrick may not have won a league title in the sub standard Portugal league but he is head and shoulders above Ruben Amorim in man management, tactics and football intelligence.

It looks increasingly like it was Wilcox that pushed Amorim into using a back four against Newcastle.

The Portugese was probably hoping for a loss that would make it seem like his system was not a problem.

He reverted to the 3‑at‑the‑back system because sticking with the back four against Wolves and potentially winning again would have exposed just how counter‑productive his preferred setup has been. A second straight result with the back four would’ve undermined the entire tactical identity he’s been trying to defend.

If anything, Amorim’s oversized ego and constant need to sound authoritative played a major role in his downfall.

What makes it even more baffling is that he carried himself like a proven elite manager despite having virtually no reputation outside Portugal.

Good riddance to bad rubbish!

*Sneezes*

Tueh!!

He did himself and I hope he learns in the future.

These fans are all about results. The moment the fans start getting tired the board will drop you. He was more focused on building than winning at the present.

Anyone that wants to say he's a bad coach is welcome and it's their cup of tea.

If no be say na money wey he go leave for table, I would have adviced that Amorim leaves united immediately they did this nonsense transfer of bringing one defender.

The best thing for him to start doing is playing a defensive tactic till the season ends. Fully dependent on counters. Close the leakage first.

In as much as we will say it's the players, baba the board no get sense and they will sack you when fans start crying.
He was adamant on implementing the system till it works. But top clubs are not patient anymore. Gone are the days of Alex Ferguson.

No reason to follow him because I'm no fan of his. Whether you and several others who are in denial like it or not, he left his imprint and sooner or later e go clear for una eyes like halogen lamp. Nuff said

The fact is that Michael Carrick has simplified the atmosphere at Old Trafford while Amorim chose to complicate issues in the same atmosphere.
Carrick and Steve Holland are hands on coaches who lead their coaching sessions themselves. Carrick has reduced the time spent on these training sessions and tried to make the sessions more interesting and simple to the players.
Carrick has reverted all players to their natural and strongest positions on the football field.
Carrick has jettisoned Amorim’s rigid 3 at the back defensive system and reverted to a more positive and conventional 4 at the back system.
Obviously Carrick has tried to make the players feel important, positive and wanted compared to Amorim who consistently and constantly threw the players under the bus by labelling them the worst players in Manchester United's history.
Recently Carrick was in attendance at the clubs under 18 team game to watch and encourage the youth player, which was something Amorim NEVER did in his over a year tenure as a coach. It says a lot about Amorim’s arrogance that he had no interest in watching the U18 and U 21 teams at anytime during his tenure.

On to the next game with Fulham which is a game I am looking onto with a positive air and aura. If Amorim was still in charge I would have been apprehensive and in trepidation of a game against Fulham.
That is the difference between a simple cerebral coach and an arrogant coach who has an overbloated impression of himself.

100%. It is too early to go all in on him.

But irrespective of that, we need more better players, especially in midfield.

Ghostominay was also useless until he joined Napoli (still useless as a midfielder though), Real or Bayern might find a perfect role for Fraudlot too.

Oh wow. Nice! 10 year contract for Dalot then since drawing interest from Madrid and Bayern is your yardstick for measiring world class players.

While we are at it, we can also try to bring back the likes of Van de Beek and Pellistri since we are feeling nostalgic about average players. Garnacho can come back to bench Mbeumo
