No I did not in anyway downplay their achievement. I only stated the fact. That 100m doesn't equate 100m persons viewed it. One person can have upto 10 to 20 views of that movie. And with how erratic our network is it Could be more.

We only refer to it as interesting just for the act of loyalty to our nation.

Yoruba cultural epic movies are super interesting. In fact, i can tell you for free that the Yoruba artists are yet to scratch the global potentials of their movies. They only need to concentrate more on the cultural theme and stop the stupid modern day dramas. People in Brazil, Cuba, South America in general and some part of the US will die to watch SANGO, OBATALA, OLUWERI, ELEGBARA, OLOKUN, ELA, SONPONA on the big screen any time, any day. The stories of historical and popular people, kings and villages in the past will also be hits.
What makes the Yoruba deities more powerful is because they are spirits yet they lived in yoruba land as humans which made the stories both powerful and human at the same time. Example is the story of OBATALA who was fond of drinking Palm wine.

Something is very strange to me. One of my workers talked about this movie today at work. I had to watch some on her phone. The movie to me was a total crap but I was surprised at the total watch views it amassed over time. The media is very powerful. If you’re consistent, and give people the narrative you want, people will subscribe to you. And trust me, overtime, you’ll carry them along. In all, Nigeria don’t watch good movie anymore. In performance, I’ll rate the movie 2/10 but when it comes to consistency and putting in the work, na 9/10. I hope you get my drift.

The movie is a total crap to me aswear. Just people talking incantation and teleporting here and there. Rating the movie is 2/10 but the consistency with the work put in the movie is 9/10. The whole thing taught me that talent is never enough. One reason why I still respect Davido till today. Dem talk say Davido no get talent but e dey put body for him work as if say na pako pikin✅

It's a movie series and they added all the views of the series to sum up to 100 million views. I cannot independently verify their claim. However, congratulations to them because I saw one episode with 10 million views.
