I know this is a fake story but it is also possible. Only wicked souls do this to their partners all in the name of exerting control or taking their pound of flesh. This practice is common with women. Most women like 90% wives remote control their husband's progress and folks dont even realise it, in the name of preventing him from marrying another woman: mostly a reason or for some, just to teach him a lesson.
