BascoVanVeli:Not Taiwo, the first lady, Oluchi |
| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by daveP(m): 11:28pm On Jan 31 |
BascoVanVeli:Simple English!! The loop is bringing players to repeat age grade competitions using the age as the excuse for repeat. As for the other 2 you used, they're exceptional but still under that loop. Don't make this look like someone is stretching abeg. |
| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by BascoVanVeli(m): 2:08am On Feb 01 |
daveP:How is age an excuse? U are either the set age or not. U want to punish someone because they were good enough to make it at an early age? You are also punishing the coach by expecting him to drop a player he likes just because you are tired of seeing her. Claudia Pina (Spain) and Linda Caicedo (Colombia) both played the U20 World Cup twice. There have even been others who played 3 times. This is not anything strange. |
| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by Deltamani: 12:46pm On Feb 01 |
BascoVanVeli:My major concern is that there are better options in that position, so why take a particular player to an age grade tournament 3 times when we have better ones who haven’t played the U20 once..? Miracle Usani is an example, I will pick her over Oluchi one tin one tin as she hasn’t played the U20 once and she’s well exposed and can play on both sides.. |

Super Eagles couldnt get the trophy Super Falcons always deliver I’m sure they’re about to break Moroccan hearts again despite the bad treatment they may encounter WAFCON/AFCON is a super tough competition now, African teams due to logistics think they can’t win the World Cup so they put all their eggs in the continental tourney Drama competition |

| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by daveP(m): 3:56pm On Feb 01 |
BascoVanVeli:That's why it's a loop. It also has more disadvantages than advantage. Your punishing stance is coming from the idea that better talents don't exists to replace such a player and that bogus. If you're that good, then proceed to next stage not continuing at the same stage abeg. The two examples you gave carried the whole team. The two we are highlighting here did not, can't even carry half the team, on and off pitch. Whether you spin it or not, it is a loop. |
| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by daveP(m): 3:59pm On Feb 01 |
yinkeys:To win again go sweet truly but i will prefer getting that WWC ticket. 😂 I doubt any can match us like the E/Guinea did that year. SA and MAR can't even do better than the guineans that year. Im hungrier for WWC dominance. Waldrum don spark believe. Na PK just ruin everything. Chai. Ayinde and Alozie vs England!! |

daveP:What stage are we likely to face Morocco again |
| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by BascoVanVeli(m): 4:50pm On Feb 01 |
daveP:Ur argument makes no sense. U say if a player is that good they should move to the next level but then u are making excuses for the 2 players I named. Shouldn't they have gone to the next level since they were good enough to carry Spain and Colombia Just say u don't like the players in question and stop coming up with fake excuses. I have proven that it is not abnormal to play the U20WC twice anything else is your business. |

Which bad treatment did they encounter last year? You all shouldn't be following crowd and judge Morocco fairly.... yinkeys: |
| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by daveP(m): 7:34pm On Feb 01 |
BascoVanVeli:I still maintain. That was a worst case scenario. You've played the Like/dislike card as usual 😆😆😆😆😆😆 Has nothing to do with that, trust me. It remains a loop! |

South Africa's sports minister says that it's not a done deal. He says that they are discussing with CAF, but as things stand, Morocco is still the host and many processes have to take place before South Africa can become the host. |

isan:1. Delayed kits until semi finals (probably logistics problem). In that tournament the new Falcon jerseys were worn only on the final day 2. Some players had missing luggages at the airport 3. Falcons complained they were put in really small rooms before the final game 4. Laser lights in the stadium etc Maybe you should watch some of their interviews post tournament before concluding I don’t have 1st hand experience Just stating what they said Countries are going to call out Nigeria soon to host because our athletes are competitive but the facilities aren’t there Morocco just pulled out because of the AFCON sanctions smh, jeopardizing their chances of qualifying for the World Cup |

semid4lyfe:Morocco could kiss World Cup qualification goodbye Sentiments based decision to pull out because of the CAF sanctions The home advantage did play a part in growing their womens game We’d know if they’re really good enough away from home |
| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by isan(m): 8:24am On Feb 02 |
None of this is Morocco's fault... it's CAF tournament Morocco didn't book the hotel room ....and everyone knows shit happens at the Airport yinkeys: |

Don’t be surprised if Morocco don’t qualify for 2027 World Cup Zambia Senegal Mali Ivory Coast Ghana Cameroun etc waiting in line to take slots Would like to see Morocco at the 2027 World Cup though |
| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by yinkeys(m): 8:45am On Feb 02 |
daveP:Some people called Falcons coach a one trick pony Overhead or long balls won’t work with technically sound European teams at the World Cup He better have multiple plans ready |
| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by semid4lyfe(mod): 10:35am On Feb 02 |
naptu2:Morocco shouldn't waste time or dilly-dally on the decision. They should withdraw already. Good riddance to bad rubbish. |

AkinDS:> Abegi, your depth chart is based on what exactly? The 8 games that Mojisola played for a lower division polytechnic in 2024?! Don’t get me wrong, I think we should be casting our scouting net as wide as possible, especially in the GK department where the cupboard seems alarmingly bare behind Chiamaka Nnadozie (albeit I think the current U20 GK Uzoma shows glimpses of potential) but let’s not precipitously start installing players on the depth chart merely because they are based abroad or “look good” in pictures and/or highlight clips. Heck, even Comfort Erhabor is a backup with a grand total of one solitary game this season. So my counsel would be let’s take a closer look at them (difficult since the NFF ignores FIFA Windows and seems uninterested in organizing friendlies) before virtual coronation. > |

yinkeys:> It seemed to “work” for Waldrum at the last WC… ![]() Well, to the extent that we were unbeaten (not so much at the Olympics though). Personally, I smirk at the foreboding that some Nigerians have about Madugu (or if we are frank, they have about ANY Nigerian coach) possibly leading us to the WC, apparently conveniently forgetting that Randy Waldrum was not the Super Falcon’s coach for just the 4 weeks of the 2023 WC but rather for FOUR YEARS!! - during which tenure we lost to South Africa at HOME for the first-time ever, suffered our WORST-EVER Wafcon win-loss performance (with 3 losses), and lost 6 or 7 CONSECUTIVE games for the first-time ever. If Waldrum can turn things around and frankly ‘outperform’ most of our expectations at the WC, there’s no logical reason to doubt that Madugu, who’s outperformed Waldrum at the Wafcon level (including beating the 3 teams we lost to at Wafcon 2022 under Waldrum - Zambia, SA and Morocco) can similarly rise to the occasion and lead us to a credible WC outing - but first, we have to QUALIFY! > |

TheSuperNerd:She might be the pure no.9 we have been looking for since Desire Oparanozie retirement.. However, let's assess what she has to offer in England 🏴 D2 for the next few months before a potential move to D1, which is anticipated in the summer transfer. Almost same height & Physique with Desire Oparanozie as she’s well built though, uses both feet’s effectively. Good in the Air, ruthless finishing, elite positioning, and physical dominance to lead the line. Her level of Pace & Agility against the Big side ( Chelsea, Arsenal, Manchester United / City etc ) is what I’m looking forward to seeing…
