Hello everyone, my brother have been scheduled for interview with UKVI for 12th of February and his latest resumption date is 13th of February, we want to cancel this application today because there is no way my brother will meet up with the resumption deadline of he do the interview. We also want to reapply for May/June intake, please I want to ask will him cancelling the visa application before the interview affect him with the new May/June application we want to do for him? Like calling him for another interview with his new application or refusing the visa on the basis that he cancelled the first application before the interview date. Please has anybody experience this before? |

Good morning everyone, I kindly need your support on this: My sister would like to visit the UK to attend our brother's graduation. (7days visit) (She applied for the 7 days leave from work) She earns 450K monthly, spends 100K, 1.5m savings , will be sponsored with 1000 pounds by brother and Dad will sponsor the flight ticket 1.5m. We are concerned if her application makes sense? Thanks |
| Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by giselle237: 8:56am On Feb 04 |
spicyuzo:Your concerns are valid. She can not afford the trip. 350k disposable income low. More so needing 2 financial sponsors for her to go for a graduation ceremony which is not a compulsory event. Also the budget is too high. Flight ticket max 650 pounds. Son and brother graduating does he not have his accommodation? Whereby she can stay and he also provides meals? That way you reduce the budget drastically. Brother can then show his payslips or account statement that he can feed her for 7 days. If she wants to feed herself for 7 days then 35 pounds per day is fine. Max 250. Add that to the flight of 650, max budget should be £900. If the brother can’t provide accommodation then it’s another financial burden for which her disposable income of 350k x 2 still can not carry. This application more likely to be refused except by a miracle. The story of father and brother sponsoring will not augur well. |

giselle237:Thanks for your quick response. Sorry I didn't add that she will be staying with him in the UK for the duration of the visit. So again: Accommodation: Staying with brother Savings: 1.5m Sponsorship: Brother dedicated 1K pounds Flight support: Our dad supports with 1.5m Salary : 450K (Disposable 350K) Duration of stay: 7 days Just thinking about your point on father and brother sponsorship. If we just top-up her current savings with 1.5m and remove the father sponsorship, will this help in any way? Thanks again |
| Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by giselle237: 9:52am On Feb 04 |
spicyuzo:No. It won’t work with top up. She should be able to sponsor her trip as an adult. She is not a mother or dad coming to visit their child or going for their child’s graduation. Refusals are high now especially if no travel history, no good financial standing, no palpable ties, no palpable reason for visit etc. They would look for a reason to deny. You can try if you don’t mind the possibility of a visa refusal on your immigration journey. |

I am currently inviting a friend over to the UK and I will be sending a letter of invitation stating that I will cover his accommodation and feeding. He is well to do and has much ties and finances so that’s not an issue. My concern is that he’s advising I fill out the visa application form on his behalf (ie completing his application for him as me but from the UK while he does biometrics) and says this gives a better chance. Is this possible and true? Is he better off applying on his end by himself with my support documents? |

Hello good people, please I need your help I want to visit my cousin (and his wife both working in the UK). He will cover my accommodation and feeding while I cover the travel expenses. I am a federal government worker with a salary below 200k and married. My wife is employed in Nigeria and not traveling with me I have a savings of about 4m which is largely from my pay as you go freelance gig, but I don't have any documents to prove the money from my side hustle because it is not salary based. I have all documents relating to my govt work. Gurus in the house, kindly help me on what to do |

Hello everyone, Please, my elderly parents has an appointment at VFS Ikeja this week. Can someone please provide a list of the documents they should take there? I did self upload of documents. Also, is there any vital information they need to know about, before getting there? (All to make there appointment stress free). I noticed that there is no receipt for passport courier return service which I paid for. Should I be bothered about that? What list of documents should they take there, please? Thank you. |
| Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by jmoore(m): 8:18pm On Feb 09 |

UK people, gather. So if u apply for a Healthcare Assistant job from Nigeria and by chance the employers are considering on employing you, will u take the offer? The pay is £30,000 in London. They said it's Entry Level (Band 2). And they told you they offer VISA Sponsorship. It's an NHS job with one hospital or trust like that, I can't remember their name. Especially with all that is happening in the UK. People coming back home, ILR stuff etc. These things are making the UK some how. Will u take the job? |
