He’s going to get at least 10 days of rest after we play West Ham in midweek. That’s enough. We should be fielding our strongest side every game week.

It’s easy to understand why Carrick starts Mbeumo over Sesko.

Even though he’s not a natural striker, Mbeumo takes his chances. He’s very clinical. Sesko sometimes kills your morale with his misses.

Remember the reverse Tottenham fixture? Sesko missed another glaring chance by doing like sugomu and even got injured in the process.

Untill he has that killer mentality consistently, Carrick might keep starting him from the bench— unless injuries force his hand.

It is bound to get more difficult as coaches get familiar with and figure out Carrick’s coaching patterns. That’s why it’s important to have different styles within his current setup. That way, opponents can’t predict what we’ll do on the pitch.

The good thing is that I’ve seen some variations in the last 4 games. Fingers crossed and hoping for the best.

Thinking about it now, I realize refs do overlook some fouls if there is an advantage. The same could have been applied here. Maybe because LFC players were protesting seriously and VAR had to be applied. If VAR wasn't applied, the ref could have left the goal and ignore the fouls, but with VAR, they have to go by what the rule says. Fortunately, City were already winning
