Yeah, you are missing the fact that a metal object like your wire mesh sucked into the engine will be more catastrophic and the frequency of such occurrence will be like baiting a hungry lion.

Let us not start with the physics of having bigger engines and consuming more fuel due to disturbing the airflow.

Bird strikes are not common by the way and not every strike will damage an aircraft engine. It has to either be a very large bird or a cluster, which is even less likely.

Also remember the USA is a very large country. Air travel makes more sense financially than in a small African country like even Nigeria. Or Ghana. Maybe when more African countries become more industrialized and developed , maybe we go see more planes

which bird strike, do you know what a Bird strike is? Bird strike can't cause that damage abi the bird na missle?that's clearly improperly closed engine door or panel, the engine door or panel failed causing it to rip open in midflight, ground crew are the ones responsible for this. They were very lucky that metal fragments didn't tear through the fuselage or wings and causing more damage especially with the hydraulics, that would doom the flight completely.

Arik Air has no business near the airport anymore. They operate flying Molue bus. I don’t know who certified those planes to stay in operation.

boeing planes are flying coffins i will never take anything boeing american made considering the accident of the ethiopian airlines and lion air incident as well as the door coming out mid flight. if i take any plane it will always be an airbus

This is a privately owned plane by private business. What has that got to do with the nation.

That's not a bird strike, the engine was fully functional, this poor maintenance on their side, those body panels had issues beforehand
