edbraz05:Just like the funfare of Ajokuta steel industry, Buhari and Russia and it never amounted to nothing. This is just a funfare, months or years to come we wouldn't hear anything again |

hotseat:Increased their allocation and increase the hunger of the people by taking away their incomes through anti people policies that have increased goods and services. It's only in Nigeria that minimum wage can't be adequate to a single individual no matter how he manages the money. |

I'm really happy with this factory in Ndi Enugu state. Before now, most Chinese owned factories are cited in Ogun, Ondo and parts of the north (for mining purposes). But with this, I'm really delighted for Enugu. Jobs! Jobs!! Jobs!!! Big Daddy China is at again. |

patrickcollins:Ajakouta is partly owned or fully owned by the federal government and the technology is old Soviet technology. This is a factory owned by a multinational Chinese company. That's the difference. |

IGBOSON1:Sorry. I don forget say everybody na billionaire for that side. Billions na water. $20,000,000 x N1430. Do the arithmetic and see what was spent on that one-line assembly building. O n ye ösî. Ò n y è aa lá. |

techbro1:..he created a conducive business environment for the private sector, investors, entrepreneurs to come and establish industries into Enugu state...so other state governors should do the same thing inorder to attract foreign investments into their states |

obiekunie01:Kind of shocked by this comment. One Republican governor in the USA some years ago was being touted as a potential presidential candidate in the run up to the 2016 election. One of the things they were using to promote him was that he attracted three factories to the state. ( Guy refused to run at all) Here in Nigeria, peter obi is even being touted as a good possible president because he attracted a factory to his state. Yes.na beer factory but e better than the man in aso rock who attracted no factory |

techbro1:Because it is sited in his state and it would bring more investment and jobs, directly and indirectly to the state , which helps a bit with solving the unemployment problem Also the governor is marketing his state to bring in more factories. More jobs Really, you guys should stop being overcynical. You guys complain all day about no jobs..okay governor has attracted factory to state, you still complain.( Yes the governor most likely lobbied to get the factory located in his state. That's partly why some governors from both ruling and opposition party go overseas. It's not just for holidays) |

techbro1:How is it a private business? The Land belongs to the government, the money used to build infrastructure belongs to government. If the government don't provide the conducive environment, how will investment come in. |

Gerrard59:They would have told us is purely assembly of tablets. Same Governor signed agreement with some Danish company to circulate pipe borne water round Enugu, till now nothing was achieved. |
| Re: Enugu State, Haier Group Launch $20m Factory, Set For $30 Million Expansion by Gerrard59(m): 5:34pm On Feb 15 |
patrickcollins:Oh! Thanks for the info about the Danish company. About the water problem in Enugu, I strongly believe it is an IQ issue. Enugu is not the first place in the world to have difficulty sourcing water. Enugu elites have a low IQ. That is the reason they cannot come up with solutions. But as we can see in the pic, it is a factory environment. |
