The freedom and flexibility I enjoy as a single is out of this world.Life to me is more interesting being single.The dopamine rush I get going where I want to go and when I want to, spending time with friends...,or just relaxing me and my self alone gives me more joy than being with the other breed.

Marriage is good, but, it feels like gambling to me, I may marry now, and not be as happy as I am now.

No need to be in hurry, wait another 10 years before considering marriage, if by 45 you still feel as you do today, wait till you are 55 jare, nothing do you. Atleast you can do father of the day to kids of your peers when they are all getting married.

Time has changed , and the economy is not helping too.

Every person's experience is different

It is like saying fire is good
Or guns are good
It depends on circumstances
It is not absolute
Even death is good......sometimes

People who use words like good or bad to describe reality are generally immature

Things in this life virtually always have a purpose and usefulness somehow sometimes even snakes

So when you say marriage is good it seems you are talking not from conviction but from how socially acceptable your words are. You want to belong.

What is the purpose of marriage

Each case is very different

Marriage is good if it serves its intended purpose

When a person gets married because that is what is expected of him by society but he has no purpose
How can he judge is it good or bad

Ladies only want made men, and most of the ladies are still eyeing outside, they are not ready for marriage.
For guys financial stability is not there, hence we have to make sure we are ready mentally and physically to settle down.

Marriage is sweet...with the right person..

As someone who is a divorcee I still believe in the beauty of marriage. That it didn't work out with my soon to be ex wife ( case will soon be concluded)...does not mean that I will not want to get married again.

Most men once they don't get married before 40 become depressed and damaged..they loose focus on life and nothing interests them anymore..I have come in contact with lots of them their level of reasoning is nothing to write home about..once they get to that age they can't marry again or have a family till death

I don't know o, but most of us have finished having children. Like me, I am 45 not married but have 3 kids between 20-16yrs.
And it's a perfect combo. 1st two boys, the last a girl. What else am I looking for

Some say it is the economy that is preventing them to even settle down. Somebody wey never get his place cannot think of getting marry in the first place except he has a family compound. Some cannot marry Igbo or Hausa or Yoruba woman due to personal perference. Some say i cannot marry a Christian or Muslim. Some say he is AS and I am AS so i cannot marry him or her because I do not want to have SS as children. Some say too many girl are into hookup. Some say men only want sex or women only want money. Some are used to be single and do not see marriage as a big deal anymore. Some do not want to be 2nd wife, 3rd wife or wife number 7 to Alhaji. Some have seen their parents divorce and vowed to never get marriage ever. Some have seen their dad or mum have an affair and vowed to just become babymama or babydaddy.

Whatever the case is, marriage is not for everyone. Live your life, those want to marry must be willing to be open and give love a chance.

Marriage is sweet if you get it right.
Unmarried marriageable ladies are now many in Nigeria, the number is alarming.
You will see a very decent, pretty, dutiful and disciplined responsible lady in her 30s, still single, I wonder why.
Maybe it's right time government mandate those men who are financially capable to marry more than one wife.

Our economy is not favorable to ordinary Nigerians. Imagine 35 old men who are still earning below 100k. Such men won't plan to marry except they want to settle for poverty.

Young men pls don’t ever marry any lady that’s not working and not supportive .
When responsibility comes you will forget love and the greatest mistake a man can make is to marry a woman that’s not supporting .
Even in developed world with better economy ,responsibility is 50/50 not to talk of this Nigerian economy .

Too much discussion about marriage as if it’s not part of life. A peaceful mind is a peaceful mind. Some can’t be peaceful with themselves alone and can’t get peace because they got married. Marriage is a lifestyle.

My problem is not the women. IF ONLY HER AND MY FAMILY,FRIENDS, NEIGHBOURS, CHURCH, WORK PLACE, RELATIVES AND COUSINS CAN LEAVE US ALONE, MARRIAGE WOULD HAVE BEEN SWEET TO ENTER.
