How Do Those With Wayward Parents Cope? by Ibrahim1985(op):
Imagine seeing someone dad who has a drinking problem or get drunk frequently. A mum that dress inappropriate and does drugs. A dad who spend his children school fees on gambling or is very irresponsible? how do those people cope with these type of parents?

At least you will learn never to be that way or do that to your own children in the future.

You are not here to change your parents or make them better people. You are simply to focus on being better than those whom you meet. You just have to accept them as they are. 🥱🥱

Coping with bad parenting? some institutions are capable of supporting infants and young adults with emotional and financial needs.

You made a very good point but at the same time, some kids are negative affected. What if they were neglient parents or was just a very bad influence e.g dad was not around due to gambling so kids flaunt schools or did not attend school because school fees was not paid. I know a person particularly whose parents were on drugs and lack of parental guidance almost made him a hooligan. After all , there is saying we are products of our environment

The truth is, a child that is destined to be wayward will still end up that way even if you raise them inside a church. On the flip side, a child that is meant to be good will still turn out right, even if they were raised by an armed robber.

That doesn't mean we shouldn't do our best as parents, but the reality is that there’s no 100% guarantee in this life. Just do your bit, pray for them, and leave the rest to God.

How do children cope with wayward parents?
The scary part is that in 10–20 years, this won’t even sound like a question it will be normal.

This generation will become fathers and mothers. And the lifestyles we’re casually defending today like internet fraud, sex for money, anything-for-the-bag culture etc won’t magically disappear.

What you practice consistently becomes who you are permanently. Values don’t switch overnight because a child is born.
When compromise becomes survival, and survival becomes identity, what exactly are we passing down?
A society doesn’t collapse in one loud moment. It erodes quietly when wrong becomes common and common becomes acceptable.
The real question isn’t how children cope.
It’s what kind of adults we’re intentionally manufacturing.

If you also look out there, you are bound to find kids who equally choose to beat the odds despite the environment they were born or raised into. For Pete's sake, others simply end their lives because they are unable to cope with it all. In the end, what matters is what one wants for self. You decide what you ultimately want for self. 🤔

I do not agree with that saying; we being a produ t of our environment. Yes, our environment can be a factor but truth is what the environment does is to present you with a choice. My dad was a complete alcoholic. When I mean alcoholic, I mean a confirmation confirmento one. The area I was born and gree up in back then in oke-ona, ifako, agege had beer parlours in them, in short, the face2face we were living in had a shop that was actually a beer parlour (I can still remember what the owner looks like) but you know what, I'm 32 years old and I've Never for once tasted alcohol. In short, the smell irks me and this is not even a Jesus's factor. So, if na environment mesef for don dey drink up and down and messing myself up for the whole street and neighbours to see. It's all about choices bro. So, even if your parents are "wayward" you still have a choice to decide which way you want to go. That choice could be passive or active. You can choose for yourself or allow others/life choose for you. One love bro!
