I am from Asaba and an Igboman to the core,we in Asaba felt the pain of the war most,considering the shameful event of Asaba massacre,carried out by Murtala Mohammed and Ibrahim Taiwo.
However,it is now in our past!
Gowon was a good man influenced by the northern oligarchy at that time,he even agreed to 'Aburi accord' in Ghana but the core north,their Yoruba collaborators and Britain forced him not to honour the agreement.
Right now,the good people of Plateau state are also victims of this contraption called Nigeria,whatever happened during the war is now in our past.We must all join hands to make this nation work again.
