Therefore, if we had all the above practices in our cultures, why the hue and cry about DNA tests? Men should desist from doing DNA tests and embrace all children born to them by their wives. Government needs to intervene at this point by banning DNA tests in Nigeria so as to save many innocent children from being subjected to the trauma of being told that the man they knew and loved as their fathers is not their fathers. Such interventions will also help to protect our family system and the society at large.

Calling on the government to ban DNA testing cos of your choice of life show how geniue less your believe about culture but fear of the repercussions from the outcome of DNA results proving negative and end marriages immediately.

Our culture didn't believe in many things, but we are doing it today. For example, women were not allowed in political positions, or even to go to school. Women were kept in the kitchen. Today, we are hearing 35 percent affirmation for women. Our culture don't support abortion. Today, hospitals are doing it.

I am.not aware of such custom in Yoruba land.

Unlike some parts of the country, in Yoruba family custom, men and women tend to have similar rights across the board, including in inheritance.
