Arsenal remaining without a major trophy outweighs whatever crap LaLiga fans want to say.
The Emirates stadium has never witnessed a PL or UCL trophy parade. Them don born plenty Arsenal fans since 2004 wey never see PL trophy before. Let's let it stay that way abeg.

Liverpool equalled our PL trophies and heaven didn't fall. If we are so worried about City reaching our number of titles then perhaps our own club should wake up too and start winning those trophies again instead of relying on other clubs to win it.

Me I just wan see Arsenal tears at the end of every season. How it happens does not matter to me
Arsenal winning doesn't have any direct consequence to us, at least for now.

But city, na we e affect pass. Direct hit.

I'm telling you. Na United fans e go hit pass for the EPL. No United fan should wish City winning the league, especially with Pep as manager.

Most united fans are blinded by their hate for arsenal. But our bragging rights is at stake if city wins more trophies.

Even the UCL, i rather have arsenal win it than any English team.

Arsenal are inconsequential in the grand scheme. So winning one or two trophies won’t do much harm.

The more City wins the more the bag fans. It's in the future we'll feel it if we don't start winning.

Whatever happens in the summer, I hope we do not go after De Zerbi...I just discovered that his contract with Marseille was terminated by mutual consent. In France, after PSG, Marseille has the second best team but man couldn't do anything reasonable with the squad of players he had. All he is obsessed about is possession...

No, Marseille didn't have the 2nd best team. They finished 6th before him and what were you actually expecting him to achieve in one full season there? Why I like De zerbi is that he's just like Flick, you are getting an attacking team that guarantees goals which unfortunately also means you concede a lot as well.
Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by Bombblacks: 8:39am On Mar 02
Our performance level have been steadily dropping from carrick first game in charge. We have been riding our luck in our last 3 games. Without Sesko popping up with important goals we would have been in trouble.
Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by engrelvis(m): 9:00am On Mar 02
After yesterday match I will prefer Amad to Mbeumo on that RW.Mbeumo is not creative enough.cant even dribble.
Sesko shud continue his super sub role. The guy marking him was remove hence that free header

. True. Our energy and performance is dropping drastically since that west ham game.lndividual brilliance is what is helping now. What I don't understand is we are playing one match per week yet playing at slow pace. The hunger/ drive is not there.Believe me if crystal palace had a full squad winning them would v been difficult

Do you follow the French league? If you do, please tell me which team in the league has a better squad than Marseille bar PSG.

The literally finished 8th the season before De zerbi. What exactly did you expect him to do in one full season at Marseille that he didn't do?

Once a manager performs excellently, they'll say that squad is actually the best or whatever. Marseille that was stinking all over the place before De Zerbi got there. They were even doing wonderfully until recently. Don't know what changed.

The noisy fans. They hop on the bandwagon of any coach whose team is in form. Once that team’s form hits a snag, the noise dies down.

I actually did. How can the team with the 2nd best squad finish 8th the season before or they became the 2nd best squad because they were performing and doing well under De Zerbi. He was there for only one full season and finished 2nd qualifying them to the champions league for the first time in 5 years. You can't really say he didn't do anything reasonable with the squad he has unless your expectations for Marseille was to win the league or something else.

He had a quality squad and could have done much better than he did. He was appointed coach of Marseille in June 2024, so he has had a reasonable time... In contrast to his performances at Marseille, Pierre Sage was appointed coach of Lens in the summer (July 1st 2025), and his team is doing much, much better, with players you can't compare to those at Marseille and a limited budget too.

Just to add, Marseille finished 2nd last season. In the summer, they were the 3rd highest spending team behind PSG and Strasbourg and in the January window, they were the second-highest spending team behind Rennes. Now, all these expenses were made to bolster a squad that already had Greenwood, Auba, Hojbjerg, Kondogbia, Aguerd etc.

De Zerbi has been there since 2024. They finished second last season and invested more in the summer yet they have been struggling this season with their chances of qualifying for the UCL next season hanging in the balance. Now, you tell me, how is a team that finished second with the second most valuable squad in the league not the team with the second best squad?

Don't just jump into a discourse.

I feel like you are being vague on purpose. What does much better mean in this context? Win trophy, gotten more wins, finished higher etc. What exactly was your expectations for him at Marseille that he didn't meet.

I expected him to be closer to PSG, winning the league might have been too much of an ask but at least they should have been much closer to PSG.

Secondly, they had no excuse not to make the qualifiers of the UCL considering the teams they faced in the group stage

Bro your expectations for Marseille is wide and through the roof especially when they are also playing in the champions league with a small squad. You saw Napoli struggling to juggle both competition and even Villarreal couldn't as well.

I guess my expectations are not wide off the mark seeing that the Marseille board also expected better.

It was widely reported he was the one that resigned. No one without agenda will say De Zerbi underperformed at Marseille. Infact he over performed with what he had.

He resigned to avoid the sack. Marseille were in a run of very poor form and their chances of qualifying for the UCL next season were seriously under threat thus the board had to make a decision on him...

Are Lens and Lyon better than Marseille, player for player?
