She came to visit my room mate. Very pompous and toxic. She thought I was sleeping and was making fun of a skin feet disorder I suffered at that time. They all laughed at me.

My blood ran cold! I felt very bad because even though the skin feet disorder had defied medical treatment, it wasn't contagious at all or my siblings would have contacted it.

Eventually, I was cured but never forgot that girl. Years after, I still hoped to bump into her someday....

Recently, I was on FB and stumbled across her obituary pic shared by a mutual friend. I didn't know she had died. Too bad I will never get a chance to remind her of how her mockery words broke me.

The reality is that if it's open for you to hear what people are saying behind you, without their knowledge, you will know that 99% of the people you think you like are hypocrites!

People truly happy for you are VERY few when you achieve something. They will dismiss it as irrelevant, due to envy.

They will equally say a lot of negative stuff when you are down and out.

Most people like to believe they can outsmart you, do better than you, have it all figured out, convince themselves that they have better plans than you and all that dump.

If they see you have greater talents than them, they like to believe they have made more money than you despite, without ever seeing your account balance or portfolio. Especially if you are not flamboyant. grin

They usually get mad when at some point they realise that they overestimated themselves. And that your simplicity and humility are due to an upbringing by parents conscious of history and their legacy. Far from naivety or not knowing your worth.

For some people around you, what makes them happy is denigrating you behind your back. It gives them a massive hard-on.

Only God knows who's truly good behind your back.

For your peace of mind, just assume you are OYO and only GOD is on your side.

Let every truly good person that crosses paths with you be a surprise package.

seriously i guess they where not expecting me to be home cause i was hardly home, i was actually sleeping but am the type that wakes up once i hear any sound but i did not do as if i woke up, and they where honey i continue my sleep but before that the kissing or romance prompted some sound that when i heard that but slept off later as i drank heavily that day

Went over to spend a weekend with a friend, Sunday morning while I was asleep he left for church. His younger sister came into his room where I was still lying down but no longer deep in sleep.
There was a big standing mirror in my friend's room which I guess his sister normally used.
She came in tying only towel, I pretended to still be in deep sleep but opening my eyes a bit. She removed her towel and was totally stark naked. Looking into the mirror, she muttered to herself "Onome, shey na dis fine body and shape only one person go dey chop, abegi."
Since that day, I had a different perspective about women

A lot, a friend said that l took her wig where as the wig was mine because l borrowed her to use it to her bf house when he came from Lagos.As a good person that l am l gave her the 55k wig only for her to keep it afterwards and when we hangout in a mutual friend house,she told her that she owns the wig.

Oh I have an experience that happened in Ile-ife, my roommates and I stayed off campus then in Varsity hostel parakin we were 2 Yoruba guys and one igbo boy.......I was asleep on that fateful day but very conscious when I heard it clearly my fellow tribesman said to the igbo that does he know if the 3 of us were to go to babalawo for money ritual and they asked that one of us should be killed, he said and I quote "shey you know say na Wale we go sacrifice".

Omo the fear that went through my body that day I will never forget, the igbo guy froze also he could not talk again.
Immediately after that semester 2 of us left him sharp sharp, cos he said that thing some days before vacation, the igbo guy came to tell me straight up he said brother when we resume we have to find another place to stay but he didn't say the reason. Whenever he calls me brother I know it's something serious.....he gave a flimsy excuse but I already knew why we had to move so i just agreed.

That useless ritualist even messaged me during holiday that he has decided to send our roommate away but me I can come and still stay and he will reduce the amount I pay (he paid more than half of our rent then) 150k he paid 100k for 2 years so it was like his selfcon amd we were squatting with him.

I japa with speed, we later got to know that same guy Akin had started buying human parts from a cadava lab in Ife and his matter casted in the lodge.

That my igbo friend God bless him wherever he is we didn't have much, ah!! We suffer no be small, but we trusted each other to the bone.
We had many experiences we would never forget right from the days of PD.
Loyalty is a rare thing in this our bloodthirsty country.

Now I have zero trust for anybody only my family.
