Carrick was on drug fumes yesterday. |
| Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by engrelvis(m): 12:33pm On Mar 05 |
Everybody shud calm down.ls just one loss.let see how he( Carrick) will react in our next match. That will determine whether he learnt anything from this loss.Newcastle physicality and brawl won them the match. No hope for Mainoo.Mbeumo has been retrogressing since that west ham game. Sesko should continue his super sub role. |

Someone was asking why Malacia doesn't play. This is why. He hasn't been on the pitch for over a year and has never been useful to any manager since his signing and still the club won't sell him. One od the many baffling decisions this club continues to make.

engrelvis:Mbeumo's loss of form has more to do with the amount of games he has played. I don't think he has missed any game this season. And he also went for making. It's a classic case of burnout and that is what happens when squad planning is poor and those in charge expect only 3 players to carry the attack an entire season. No real options to rotate with Cunha, Sesko and Mbeumo. Nobody except Ugarte to rotate with Casemiro and Mainoo. Defence is the only department we have enough bodies and a lot of them are injured |

Lana1:i thought malacia has retired from football |
| Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by patrickmuf(m): 1:19pm On Mar 05 |
larride:Ugarte shouldn't have been brought on. Malacia should've been eased back into the team but he was thrown into such a high-pressure game when Heaven was on the bench. Amad should have been introduced much earlier. |

Englishisamust:When ole was in his position, you were calling on the board to give him the job at the end of the season citing he will do well. what has carrick done wrong to warrant this type of treatment |

engrelvis:all the physicality talk is just excuses for a poor showing and seem to have been prepared even before the game. Newcastle is poor this season, very poor. they have been a team that sprints all season, nothing more. the manager had no intentions of winning the game. it was obvious the plan was to take a point and go home. and even when an opportunity arose from the red card, his substitutions further illuminated his original game plan. poor poor poor from the management perspective. |

Lana1:He should’ve gotten tighter to Osula. Same with Magwaya. They gave him too much space and time. |
| Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by larride(m): 1:32pm On Mar 05 |
patrickmuf:You were complaining about Mainoo and Case before half time with their nonsense performance, yet you don't want Ugarte to come in? ![]() I doubt if Heaven has played left back before and he only came in because Maz was limping. I agree that Amad should've been introduced earlier. The point is that this squad is short of quality options or no options at all. It's terribly squad planning. |

larride:My guy, we all agree that the squad definitely needs improvement and hopefully we do good business in the summer. About Ugarte, no matter how bad Casemiro is playing, Ugarte is not an option. I wouldn't have complained if Mainoo was taken off for Zirkzee, so that Bruno can drop deep, it's an option Carrick has to try when we are chasing games. |
| Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by engrelvis(m): 2:25pm On Mar 05 |
Lana1:We are playing one match every one week or more yet ur talking about burnout? One of our problem is mentality. That match was winnable yesterday if Carrick has made the right decision in terms of substitution.Mbeumo,Sesko ,shaw were not suppose to come out of that dugout in second half. |
| Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by patrickmuf(m): 2:26pm On Mar 05 |
Afrodoc2, I saw your comment on Mainoo yesterday and I agree 100%...The sideways passes are annoying, you see Casemiro and Bruno playing line-breaking passes and then there's a young man in Mainoo who should be more adventurous but no, he chooses to almost always play it safe... With Casemiro leaving, Ugarte certainly leaving (he has to, else we riot) and Mount joining them, we need to sign 3 top quality midfielders, a left winger, an experienced CF (If Obi is not ready and if Zirkzee is sold) and a RB and LB... Doc, any chance we have a player from the academy or reserve who can fill any of the aforementioned roles? |
| Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by patrickmuf(m): 2:27pm On Mar 05 |
engrelvis:I agree with Mbeumo and Shaw but not Sesko. |
| Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by engrelvis(m): 2:35pm On Mar 05 |
patrickmuf:What exactly did Sesko play yesterday? His positioning and ball awareness was very poor |
| Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by patrickmuf(m): 2:36pm On Mar 05 |
engrelvis:Rather, the service to him were very poor. |

| Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by engrelvis(m): 2:41pm On Mar 05 |
patrickmuf:That side passes and playing it safe has always been Mainoo weakness.Yoro is another culprit of that too.A fit Mount will be very useful to us.l dnt really support his sale We are seriously missing Martinez in that backline .That second goal won't have been possible if was he was there. |
| Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by engrelvis(m): 2:49pm On Mar 05 |
With exception of Arsenal nobody team is really playing well but hopefully we will snatch that top 4. Our players v been running on manager bounce adrenaline.lt seems it fading off.Now we will know the stuff Carrick is really made of. |
| Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by Lana1(m): 3:07pm On Mar 05 |
engrelvis:If it is not burnout, then how else can we explain this constant loss of form at this late stage of the season that our players seem to experience every season? Or did Mbeumo suddenly forget how to play football? Remember that ETH first season when Rashford was scoring for fun and then he disappeared by the start of March. Besides the one game per week, they also train almost every day so it's not like they have the whole week off. We need a bigger squad than what we have now with better players if we are ever going to be able to compete with Arsenal and City |

Lana1:Which kind of watery agenda be this? 🤣🤣🤣 |
| Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by afrodoc2: 3:52pm On Mar 05 |
patrickmuf:Mainoo was worse than Ugarte yesterday tbh. We had 1 man advantage, instead of taking the game over and pushing the issue, he kept recycling the ball from nowhere to nowhere. I have seen this happen before when Tom Cleverley turned from a player who successfully partnered with Anderson by making incisive passes into sideways Cleverly because he fancied himself to be a Xavi. Mainoo can make those passes but his mindset and mentality is all wrong. We don't have a left winger who is ready in the academy. Not next season. I had hopes for Ethan Williams, but he lacks the intensity or elite athleticism needed. Devaney is our most robust CM and is currently on loan but i don't think the club rates him as highly as the Fletchers and Kone. He is very intense defensively, but the rest are all better on the ball than him. Nobody is ready at RB. Kamason and James Overy have had injury problems all season. Amass can be tested at LB next preseason. He did well in the 1st half of the season but is currently injured in his new club. Diego Leon has been the worst player in the Under-21s by far so far. That one is not an option for now. At CF we probably need to loan Obi out next season to get regular minutes, if not he will regress. We can bring Wheatley back to be a squad option. Rotate Sesko, Mbeumo, Cunha, Wheatley at CF. Rotate Amad, Mbeumo, Lacey at RW. Rotate Cunha, Dorgu at LW. I am not sure how much money is available for transfers, but we need to get the top value players in midfield. 2 or 3 like you said. Then get a senior LB. We can manage Maz and Dalot for 1 more season at RB. Then we can get either a LW or a CF. CM x 2-3 LW or CF LB |

afrodoc2:Thank you for this. If we qualify for the UCL, I reckon we will spend more. Hopefully, yesterday's result was just a slip and does not plant doubt in the minds of the players...We need to win our next game to get back on track. |
| Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by patrickmuf(m): 8:35pm On Mar 05 |
engrelvis:Mount should be shipped out, he has not been helpful to us at all. |
