I’m 41 and still living with my parents” — man mocks younger brother who moved out but returned home. A man has stirred reactions online after sharing a humorous story about his younger brother who moved out to live independently but later returned home due to the harsh realities of life. In a video circulating on social media, the 41-year-old man revealed that he still lives with his parents and sees nothing wrong with the arrangement. “I’m 41 years old and I still live with my parents. My younger brother is 25 years old, he packed out of the house last year, he said he wants to live alone, today he has packed his load back. He said life no easy o, he has packed come back.” Younger brother returns home The man explained that the younger brother had insisted on independence despite advice from family members. However, the situation changed after experiencing the financial and emotional pressures of living alone. He said the brother recently returned to the family house with his belongings, admitting that living independently was more difficult than he expected. “Life no easy,” the younger brother reportedly confessed while moving his things back into the house. Man defends decision to stay with parents Reacting to the situation, the older brother joked that his decision to remain in the family home for years might have been wiser than people assumed. He added that many young people today rush into independence without fully understanding the financial responsibilities that come with it. Social media users react The story has generated mixed reactions online, with some people laughing at the situation while others said the younger brother’s experience reflects the rising cost of living and economic pressures faced by many young adults. Some commenters also pointed out that moving back home is becoming increasingly common among young people trying to stabilise financially. Watch the video below…

Since you are still living with your parents, the question is, who is footing the bills? If your aged parents are the ones footing the bills, then there is nothing to celebrate. |

I feel the younger brother is more of a man than the 41 year old. At least he was bold enough to take the bull by the horn and brave the vagaries of life. Granted, he's been burnt by the experience but he's learned a lesson or two, to make him better equipped at the next attempt. |

Please do not be ashamed of living with your parents. Instead cherish the moments. Only family loves you 100%. One day your parents will pass away and you will realize that what they once had, they couldn't take it with them to their graves. What they left you with was memories that no one else can never replace.

Yet delusional geng like you, will continue, blaming unmarried ladies in their 30s, they ignore their life that already shattered and in state of hopelessness, but consoling themselves about unmarried single ladies in their 30s. I keep saying, reason why we see many unmarried single ladies is because of several men,who cannot get their feet, majority lost their ways in their teenage years. |

Boh of them are right. The younger brother went in search of better life, hustle, but didn't make it and returned as a "learner" - he must have learnt 1 or 2 from outside Incase of next time. The older one is not in any way moved by the noise on the social media and stay at home because he still can not handle things on his own without shame after all its his father's house |

I would always rate the 25 year old young man who left home to try living independently than a 41 year old with no experience at independence who is still tied to his parents apron strings. That 41 year old has become too comfortable being sheltered. In fact, they will marry wife for him and na that family house he go keep him wife, from there family will interfere in his marriage and pack up his marriage. So for me the 25 year old is wiser, he took the risk and gained experience. When he leaves next time, he would be better prepped compared to 41 year old complacent alagbagba cracking and mocking the one who went to test waters. |

He certainly must be shameless. Maybe the house built by his parents and he does not plan to start a life outside the house. That’s the type that trouble their tenants when the parents pass on. Their stock in trade is to instantly increase rent and remind the tenants that they have become the landlords. They share the rooms among themselves. One room, one landlord. Some of them are found in this Nairaland forum. |
