About Ugarte, no matter how bad Casemiro is playing, Ugarte is not an option. I wouldn't have complained if Mainoo was taken off for Zirkzee, so that Bruno can drop deep, it's an option Carrick has to try when we are chasing games.

We were losing the midfield battle and getting dog walked with 10 men but you want to remove Mainoo for Zirkzee another lazy player, how exactly do you intend to get any sort of control in the midfield and progress the ball?

Meanwhile the Ugarte sub was to break down Newcastle attack due to his "tackling and work rate" grin

Like I said carrick has not done any tangible thing to convince me he is the man for the job. All he was doing is initial gra gra!!!! 1 test failed out of my 5. Right now, he needs 80 matches to convince me he is the right man for the job. I have not seen any potential in this man. All is wins are just based on luck…

He needs to win the UCL and EPL next season to convince you.

He hasn't been on the pitch for over a year and has never been useful to any manager since his signing and still the club won't sell him. One od the many baffling decisions this club continues to make.

But how do you expect the boy and other subs to play well when they don’t get chances at all?

Newcastle is poor this season, very poor. they have been a team that sprints all season, nothing more.
the manager had no intentions of winning the game. it was obvious the plan was to take a point and go home. and even when an opportunity arose from the red card, his substitutions further illuminated his original game plan.

Thank you. Carrick messed up yesterday. Full stop. Let’s hope he gets the boys to bounce back. We play once per week, slow tempo football should not be a feature at OT at all. The intensity is zero. And the game yesterday was about getting a draw.

That’s not the major challenge. He is still 15 so he will be ready to contribute one way or the other within the next 1-2 years. It will happen organically and should not be rushed.

The major challenge is keeping him at the club. He can’t sign a professional contract until October 2027 and there are clubs that will try to get him before then.

He is scoring nearly at a Greenwood rate but a year earlier than Greenwood. He is physically inferior and not as ambidextrous but technically he is better.

Manchester United got rid of Greenwood for abuse. I doubt if they have the guts to sign Tonalli who has a clear and obvious gambling problem.
