Many of you just talk like dvndees. Are CCTVs connected to police station? It captures events for later review anywhere in the world.
What is this one saying? If you haven't traveled out keep kwayet. CCTV is monitored in real time in some places.

Point of correction, I lived there for 7 years from surulere and Pedro was so peaceful,
Because u hear Cutlass now and u call it rough, so people shouldn't protect themselves, if u call Pedro rough what will u call fadeyi, mushin, bariga ?
Even as surulere sweet reach , it was rough a times cos I was born there,
Pedro might have been peaceful for you because you chose peace.

A disturbing CCTV footage circulating online has raised serious concern after showing a group of young men allegedly breaking into residential apartments.

In the video, several young men can be seen moving through what appears to be a residential building corridor while holding cutlasses. The group is seen entering different apartments, raising fears about the safety of residents in the area.

Although the exact location of the incident has not been officially confirmed, some social media users claim the footage was recorded in Benin City, specifically in the Utesi area of Benin City.

Many Nigerians are expressing concern over rising insecurity and are calling on authorities to investigate the incident, while linking the growing insecurity to hardship under the APC-led government.

Others have also urged residents to remain vigilant and strengthen security measures around their homes.

A flamethrower is more effective than a cutlass.

There are videos on YouTube to learn how to make one.

What happens if you call police in the course of this event? Exactly what he is saying
Not even this, some people need to travel and be exposed. I wanted to engage with him but it's not necessary. There're some CCTV cameras like PMP or what is called that uses security sensors which can alert the nearest security station within 10seconds only, except it's hacked thereby the hacker has 10seconds to disrupt the threats trigger of the camera.
Them plenty self, I have seen one in island.

It is sad that in Nigeria we just have CCTV to record, for us to later watch as "home video" after loss of property or life has happened.

Our so called CCTV have no responsive police or security agency to alert.
CCTV will just be installed without anyone monitoring it, it's almost as useless as not installing at all.

Exactly! We like to watch the clip like a Nolywood movie. Totally useless without anyone watching real time.

There are real time cctv equipments that you can see everything as its happening but thats only if you watch......you can then call the police immediately you observe any intrusion.
You are very correct.

Some have motion sensors that alert security operatives. Here, we watch CCTV for entertainment.

There is what is called cctv play back for a Reason!
You are writing about the SECONDARY reason for a CCTV.

Focus on the PRIMARY reason for the installation and that's the essence of my reply.

You don't know what you are saying
So, in a city that has ten thousands of CCTVs in different houses, can you tell me house those can be monitored live. Why are the school shootings in US captured on CCTV but the shooter still committed the crime, escaped, only to be found later through CCTV review?

There should a provision in place in which a personnel is fully seated and saddled with real time monitoring and update and once anything suspicious is noticed, alarm is raised immediately or the right team are contacted.

With thousands of CCTV? Do you we are talking of supermarket here. Charlie Kirk was killed live, CCTV captured everything but the killer still pulled the trigger and escaped only to be caught later through CCTV review. Why wasn't he apprehended b4 he pulled the trigger¿
Chief, there's no price too high for one security.

This one don watch Hollywood movie tire; so you think CCTV alert the police for you and over 100 people clicked like; if Ghana and South Africa people see this one now, dem go think say na everybody for Naija be the same. Very soon CCTV go begin arrest person for una.
Re: Armed Men Entering Apartments In Benin City (CCTV Footage) by novaman: 7:46am On Mar 16
You guys are funny, so you mean for a regular apartment, someone should be hired to watch the CCTV on a daily basis. I live in Montreal, almost 75% of the houses on my street are connected with CCTV. the room where we have the monitor in our apartment is two door away from my apartment and nobody goes inside except there is a need, Someone exchange my bike last year then I follow my landlord inside to preview the face of the thief then got a copy. My Landlord has it on his phone like most Nigerian owners but my landlord has about 20 apartment he will not be monitoring it on a daily. Public places like, Police station, companies, prison, hospitals, Mall can hire someone but nota regular residence. Maybe very rich residence.

The reason is, it is possible only one camera was mounted to that area which may even be far from where the robbers movements were recorded/captured. That place is big atleast 3 to 4 cameras will give a clearer picture and should be review everytime to see that the cameras give clearer view
The reason for adequate site survey. Different cameras for different distances and environment. We are not even talking about the part where your power systems is at the entrance grin . He is able to get those black images atall BCS it's olodos that came there.....if any smart person was amongst e go don sharparly off the inverter fes
