A lady has cried out over the poor condition of roads in the state despite the huge allocation coming into the state.

Delta state is one of the states receiving the highest allocation from the FG including state revenue generation coming from the state yet it is looking like this

Delta and Bayelsa state. Two very useless state. Their leaders from 99 till date should be lined up and given 20000 strokes of cane each

What the delta state governor is interested in now is how to deliver millions of votes to tinubu. Anything infrastructure renovation is out of their mind

With all the money Delta state has, it's still one of the worst state in Nigeria.

This terrible road pass in front of former minister of petroleum Kachukwu, pass through the village of the current senator for Delta State Ned Nwoko and very close to the State capital. The road also link vehicles coming from the East States (Onitsha, Abia, Imo etc) through Auchi Okene road to Abuja. The road is located within the Delta North senatorial zone where the former governor Okowa came from and ruled for 8 good years apart from also being a senator from the same zone before becoming a governor.
So shameful as the condition has been terrible for some years now.

Is she aware that the Federal Government now pays monthly allocations to the Local Government Authorities? Is that a state road or a Local Government road? People just on ring light and start saying nonsense to trend. She should ask the Aniocha North LGA Chairman what he has done with the allocations and backlogs paid to him by the Federal Government.

Sheriff is practically sidelining Delta North in his massive infrastructural development. Whereas he is building roads and bridges in Delta South, Asaba the state capital and other areas are left out. Okowa didn't do much for Asaba either. I learnt he concentrated on Agbor, his home town.

Aniocha road still better pass Ndokwa road.

they feel that as long as they are in apc that their going back is certain. If they really rely on the electorates for their success, there is no way they would not deliver like Alex oti of abia state.

That road is the worst road in nigeria. But the bulk of that road is federal road. It's Abuja road from Asaba axis.

This Governor should visit this areas to see the state of this roads himself.

Thought that all these things will be sorted once your leader moves closer to the centre....abi.

Good governance is hard....very, very, very hard.
What should be the basis of sustaining an elected official in office has now been traded for a 'cheaper' alternative to retaining power, joining the centre where you are 'guaranteed' re-election.

So my dear lady, there is little you can do, Democracy is disconnected and all the pressure buttons you should press to deliver good governance have been rewired.

You folks are at his mercy and it will take the kindness of his heart and those of others around him to remember your roads. Sorry, but that is.how democracy works....or does not work.

Though he's a criminal like others but the last time Deltans felt the positive impact of a governor was during the time of Ibori.

Time people start calling these criminals out. Imagine Delta with all the huge resources they get cannot complete important roads and give their people basic amenities after 26yrs of democracy.
It's indeed a shame of unquantifiable proportions.

Did the state not produce a governor from Agbor. Every person should prioritize their tribal development mostly when the tribe has been ignored for very long. Wait till your turn again so your son will fix it. Na Okowa and Uduaghan fool themselves, they failed to develop their region, only developing their various local residential villages. See Sheriff that is not even 4 years in, all the Urhobo clans de feel he gaddamn impact.

Simple basic things like this those in government will not do. I hope they wont send someone to beat her up for exposing this again. But this is really pathetic, just see the road, this is not motorable.

It is not attention seeking. it's calling out what is bad and affecting you. This is how our father's kept quiet waiting for their time to loot and left us in ruin. Everybody should start calling out the government from Local government level to federal govt. Nigeria must work for all of us
