Look the Quoran is speaking to men in that verse. Go and read it.

That verse in the Quran is read and understood as you pressume by only stupid men. You know many Muslims who that verse may try to talk who would refuse to beat their wives. And you are admitting that women in even immoderate Islamic Iran wouldn't accept their men beating them despite, according to your understanding, the Quran says they can. Or is it, should?

You'd likely argue that bokoharam are Muslims too who are doing what the Quran has written in it telling them to do what they do, but you'd need to ignore all the other Muslims who do read the same Quran including those whom bokoharam terrorise, for that to wash.

Muslims and Christians in my Orolu Kingdom do not beat their wives. The traditional punishment if you do is you being whipped at the palace.

Muslims in Lagos where I lived did not beat their wives. That said, we did once have one person in our neighbourhood who was accused of beating his wife. My own mother marched women to his house and told him what they'd do to him if he ever touches his wife again.

If you don't have interest, you can very easily stop engaging. There is no book compelling you to respond to buda please.
