Carrick has been ten times more effective and better than Amorim. That part is never in doubt. It's getting the job long term that am still not yet convinced about.

The main problem is that Ruben Amorim has ingrained a losing mentality into the psyche of the fan base. It is so bad that winning games seems like an aberation while losing games seems natural. That is why you see fans telling us that Onana is better than Lammens. Or that the players are all useless. Or that Amorim is better than Carrick or that Carricks tenure is the same with Solksjaer's tenure,despite the facts on ground showing the glaring opposite. It is just mental and former players are promoting this evil narative. These are former players that one of them was sacked as a manager at OLDHAM ATHLETIC under 31 days! Another was sacked in Spain after a consistent losing streak! And these are the buffons the fan base listens to? Mental!
In fact Amorim has so ingrained his,"WE ARE GOING TO SUFFER," mentality that so many of the fan base have unconciously imbibed it into their mentality as such that games against teams in the relegation zone become like world cup finals.

The Ruben Amorim years were an unmitigated disaster for United. Amorim was an arrogant technically deficient manager who glorified losing football games. He successfully gaslighted certain sections of the fan base to believe the fault was with the players and not his terrible tactics. Amorim made losing games seem normal. He made Manchester United fans feel being involved in a relegation battle was normal. In fact some of the axis of evil on this thread whom I call the evil coven,were even justifying the fact that it would be GOOD if Manchester United was relegated,so that Amorim could start afresh. It was this mental!
They made so many excuses for the incompetence of Amorim.
It is ironic that this same coven are the ones opposed to the success of Michael Carrick because he is getting a tune out of the players that their tin god Amorim labelled as USELESS players.

Carrick does not have any magic wand except his man management and playing each player in their best positions. This is what upsets Amorim's supporters. The are anticipating the failure of Carrick so that they can jump on the USELESS players again. This is why they keep comparing Carrick to Solksjaer. Their point is that because Solksjaer failed therefore Carrick will fail. Just imagine the thought process of these kind of toxic fans.
Who can satisfy such toxic football fans? A set of people who cut their noses in order to spite their face. Hoping endlessly for Michael Carrick to fail,so that they can win a silly argument on Nairaland.com.
