I had the privilege of engaging with global investors at the UK—Nigeria Project Agglomeration Compact Dinner held at the House of Lords, London, on the sidelines of President Tinubu’s state visit.

Convened by Mutandis Africa, the session provided a dedicated platform to present Enugu's story as a ready and credible investment destination.

We highlighted our ongoing reforms and a strong pipeline of bankable opportunities across key sectors — energy, infrastructure, healthcare, agriculture, technology, education, housing, and tourism.

We are building a private sector-driven economy anchored on ease of doing business, infrastructure expansion, and strong institutional frameworks that support and protect investments.

Our message was clear. Enugu is open for business.

Quote me with the solid evidence on investment when the setup in nigeria. You think someone will bring their money to invest in where they will get kidnapped , no electricity, too much corruption.

positioning Nigeria ..repositioning Nigeria. ... of all the MoUs and talks and billions of promised investments by investors by politicians travelling abroad working investors .... how has Nigeria ir any State benefited? What do we have to show for it? Are we better off?..or worse off? jobs...jobs ... they will bring jobs ....what jobs ..what pay? Which jobs by any investor offer superior salaries that Nigerians are dreaming to get? The States are allocated more money ... can't we do anything on our own? .... why the focus on foreign investors? He is begging investors to come and invest in real estate....selling out the land? Can't the sam noand be offered to locals? Invest in tourism .....but you don't have electricity. 1900"s basics we don't have...but you're planning for 21 st century people to be trooping in. He's renovating the government hotels to boost tourism. Government running hotels.....which government does that? Why wouldn't the renovated hotel suffer the same fate? Electricity.... is it not standard for the administration to post bids .... as in for a 100 MW power unit .... etc ...and interested investirs show interest?...with the administration reviewing their track record? They have to come...not we have to go. Agriculture. ...locals can't invest? What has he done to boost local agriculture? Why not invest in infrastructure such as drainage and irrigation? ...road net work to move produce from farm to market?...why not instead of working investors find market abroad for local produce? Just saying ...for those who see this as a good development . Is it we can't move forward on our own?...it can only happen by the "Whites"?

We're seeing the long term mental effects of colonialism and don't even know.

We really need to fix our power sector. Without reliable electricity, it becomes very difficult to attract investors to Nigeria, except in areas that do not depend heavily on power, such as certain types of farming. Even then, modern agriculture still relies on machinery. If you listen to the interview with the CEO of Dangote’s refinery on Arise TV, you will better understand the level of frustration investors face when operating in Nigeria.

We also need to reduce corruption as much as possible by moving paperwork and approval processes online. Many of these corrupt practices happen through direct contact with officials in agencies and ministries. Digitising these processes will help limit that human interference and make the system more transparent.

This is purely propaganda, where is the Denmark company with the water contract in Enugu, what about the palm oil producing company, what about the Tractor assembly company, all na wash.

I created this post on March 19th.

The results of all these trips are so obvious and visible that anybody that says he can't see them is not serious at all.

President Goodluck Jonathan visited China (I created the thread) and the result was the Abuja - Kaduna rail line.

President Buhari visited China (I created the thread again) and the result was the Lagos - Ibadan rail line, the Railway University and the Railway workshop that builds coaches.

At different times Governors Babatunde Fashola and Babajide Sanwo-Olu visited China and the result was the trains that run on the Blue Line.

President Tinubu visited Qatar and the result was the free housing estates that Qatar is building for victims of Boko Haram and bandit attacks across northern Nigeria.

There are so many other projects across transportation, electricity, waste disposal, manufacturing and so on and so forth that have come from these trips and they are visible for all to see.

..abi .. when a federal government and state government provide constant electricity light supply and create a conducive environment for businesses companies industries to thrive and excel.. foreign and indigenous investors will rush to come and invest in that country and state..you do not even need to beg them to come and invest in your country and state..they will rush and come by themselves because of the conducive environment you have provided for them to operate their businesses and investments
