It should be obvious to most Nigerian adults that Nigeria, factually, does not have political Parties with ideological integrity. We are far from that level some Nations of the world reached over a century ago.

There is no single person at that convention that will not leave APC tomorrow if another platform is their best chance of achieving personal political ambitions and objectives.

No greater proof of this than the number of Parties all your leaders (Atiku, Obi etal) have joined and left whereas if Nigerian politicians are principled and Political parties have ideological integrity then defection won't be our daily reality because such is naturally rare in nations where politicians are genuinely principled and devoted to serving the people using political Parties with ideological integrity.

Better to look at an individual's history and leaning if you wish to choose a leader than focus on his/her Political Party which is just a mere platform for politicians same way we all use Bolt or Uber to get from here to there and can interchange between either at any time. This is our reality. Deal with it.

When our democracy, still in the dark ages, has reached the laudable level of others, then you can begin shouting APC, ADC, PDP etal.

Great Post. I've always made the same point. I.e all leaders who have genuine goodwill for Nigeria, even if in opposition, should have no problem supporting the Government in power, when needed, to move Nigeria forward.

Not so Atiku and Obi who attack and demarket everything the Government does yet deliberately remain silent or feign ignorance when the Tinubu record progressive returns on some of her reforms and initiatives.

Opposition in Nigeria is virulently toxic and unprogressive because grabbing power is their priority and never the growth and development of Nigeria.

Can Atiku that is resident in Dubai in his free time, completely disengaged from the affairs of Nigeria, claim to be the one who cares most about Nigeria and her progress? Someone should make it make sense.

Or is it Obi, the near illiterate and dullardly attention-seeker, who goes to petty lows such as attacking Tinubu for not wearing appropriate funeral wear yet pretend never to see what the lady below (who is Obi's intellectual and technocratic superior by far) is saying?
