What effort(s) have you made to have a one-on-one chat with your supposed friend from way back?

Well, let's ask Mr Yomi if he ever told Funke that he was building a house because this is very common with Nigerians. They would call you their best friend but would never share any information about their ongoing project with you because they don't trust you.
We don't know if Funke felt betrayed because you can't be friends of many years and just come out of nowhere to inform her that you have completed your building. The best decision is to cut you off because you are actually not a good friend if that's the case.
Imagine you and your best friend talking on the phone for many minutes and 48 hours later, he just called you from abroad, permanent relocation. This is mentality and attitude of majority of Nigerians which I can never understand.

It is a double edged sword. I think there is a general mindset that until you achieve your target, you dont share that information with anyone who is not directly involved in actualizing it.

It may not be out of distrust for the particular person but between close friends, it hurts deeply.

I know someone like that who bought a house and only told his friend and his friends wife after they had moved in.

It hurt them so much that the friendship died with bitterness among them.

Even me now I had to give someone that we talked closely some space. Why some very big achievements would happen in his life and I wont even know about it at all, meanwhile I share a lot of deeply personal stuff with him.

We have spoken in a while of which I know I can't really share anything worthwhile with him anymore.

I strongly suspect Funke is softly bipolar and people should not take her behaviour to heart. We all have some biases and behavioural what nots.

My advice to anyone is not to get their knickers in a twist over this. It will blow over.

I was able to register an export company and called my friends to join hands with me, let's build a business. He responded that he doesn't dabble into what he doesn't know about. True - I accepted. Fast-forward to many years later, he said he likes that export idea and wants to register a company for it and I should educate him on the export business. Honestly from what i have seen in the past 1yr, Funke Akindele os a very horrible person. She has a black heart. Her success in the movie industry has made her think she's above everyone. She has become demonically arrogant.
I know some guys that work with her that said , forget those social media show off, she is bitterness personified. They have to behave like zombies around her or else she will fire them embarrassingly as she always threatens them like working for her is a favor she's doing them.
