My niece works and earns N150k as salary. She has an investment worth N25million in stocks amd other landed properties she inherited.
Is there any way she will be granted a visit visa?
No application is 100% guaranteed.

She can apply.

1) No need to use the complain box, just write to the (PAP) directly. A Pre-Action Protocol search for their email on google.

2) Yes I was traveling with my daughter
Goodluck70000:

Do you mean that you sent them an email directly to their PAP email and did not use the PAP template on their website?

Please do you use their PAP template for your PAP?
For PAP yes, only the template of PAP will be admissible to the PAP email. For complaints or reconsideration etc you don’t need to use PAP templates.

Going via the complaints route and after complaining your request is for the application to be reconsidered.

Please I need advice.

What is the best way to present a profile for a mom that does petty business who wants to visit her daughter in UK?
Currently she uses her savings account for her business transactions.

What is the best way to present a profile for a mom that does petty business who wants to visit her daughter in UK?
Currently she uses her savings account for her business transactions.
To present a strong UK visitor visa application for a mom running a petty business, focus on documenting her informal income and establishing strong ties to her home country. Highlight her business existence through invoices, daily logs, and savings statements, while clearly outlining her self-sufficiency or sponsorship.
Best Strategy for Profile Presentation
Show Regular Income: Even if informal, prove the business brings in consistent funds. Present 3–6 months of savings account statements highlighting regular deposits and a healthy, steady balance.
Document the "Petty" Business: Do not just say "petty business." Create a simple business profile:
List the business name (even if unregistered).
Create a simple letterhead or business card.
Submit invoices, receipts, purchase orders, or a sales log (digital or handwritten) that shows daily/weekly transactions.
If she sells goods, provide photos of the shop, stock, or items for sale.
Explain the Bank Account: In her cover letter, explicitly state: "I use my personal savings account for my business transactions as it is a small-scale, informal business."
Establish Strong Ties (Return Intent): Prove she will return to her business and family in her home country. This includes:
Property deeds (if she owns her shop or home).
Family commitments (caretaking, social responsibilities).
Evidence of stock or pending orders that require her to return.
Use a Sponsor: If the income from the petty business is not significant, the daughter in the UK should formally sponsor the visit, providing her own bank statements, employment documents, and a letter of sponsorship, while the mother still provides her own financial records to show her regular income.

Essential Documentation
Bank Statements: 3-6 months (highlighting business income/expenses).
Letter of Employment/Business Ownership: A declaration of her petty business activity.
Proof of Income: Sales logs, daily records, or receipts.
Ties to Home: Marriage certificate, property deeds, or tenancy agreements.
Letter of Invitation: From the daughter in the UK.

While not always legally mandatory for domestic travel, it is highly recommended to have a notarized Child Travel Consent letter from your wife when traveling internationally (or sometimes domestically) with a 4-year-old to avoid delays, particularly if you have different surnames.

Hi all,

Are people still requested to drop passports at VFS even with the evisa switch?
If yes, how do one pay for courier services?

Regards

Nope. Your passport is not retained. You take it back with you.
No more courier. Visa is electronic and assessed online.

2 Value Added services VFS has been making money yanked off. I hope they wont start playing games with appointment slots to nudge people to be paying for their flexi and premium lounge appointments.

Really? They requested they drop passport? Is it for a visit visa? I went with a family member last week and didnt drop passport. The process was extremely fast. Spent less than 10mins.

They tried to solicit to carry out the E-Visa online registration for the person but we declined and stated we'll do it ourselves.

No you don't. Just ensure you submit her birth certificate when you apply for the visa.

In the past, your passport number would be inserted on her visa to show that she is allowed to travel with you as the accompanying adult. I don't know how that will be done with the E-Visa recently implemented.

Not necessary.

When my children were younger, I travelled many times with them without my husband. I never had any consent letter from my husband.

As long as you indicate you will travel with your child and submit a birth certificate, your passport number will be inserted on the child's visa. You are allowed to accompany your child with no additional document required.

Oh no they haven’t gone yet. Last time they had to drop their passport so when they told me that they did not pay for courier this time. I was worried and tried checking how I could do that quickly. Glad to know it’s no more needed.
