For the past few days, I’ve noticed that internet service on both MTN and Airtel has really deteriorated.

Browsing is slower, downloads are inconsistent, and sometimes pages don’t even load at all.
Is this just happening in my area, or is it a general issue across the country?

Kindly share your experience and location.

Airtel have been messing up big time in Abuja and environs.....but today it was a bit better

I've not experienced it with Airtel really. Just MTN. It's been terrible.

I thought I was the only one . Especially Airtel . I was thinking my phone was the problem . Nawa

I have both and I have subscription on both of them.. The constant switching between networks is frustrating

Why?

I guess it’s a nationwide issue now, just like the electricity shortage in the country.

I can’t play games or stream, really bad network. Airtel is the worst in streaming, MTN is bad at gaming.

We can’t just be happy in Nigeria

Especially Airtel, imagine not getting network while inside car but immediately I step out, I will get 2 bar.

For some days now, my bar has never gone beyond 2bar and network so slow.

Yes they are. Diesel is expensive. Not all Base stations are currently powered. Networks have to prioritise which facility gets diesel and which doesn't. But this isn't the main concern now.

If the war in the middle east keeps heating up, the marine cable most of the world relies on for internet, Nigeria inclusive might be targeted. Russia has already practiced carrying out such an attack. If that cable gets cut, we will all be f u cked in ways we never thought possible.

So what is your letter writing skill like? Start practicing. You might need it soon.

MTN is still good, but Airtel is strange.

If you have more than one Airtel SIM, try switching them.

I recently discovered that the Airtel internet network is SIM specific. I can't explain it, but one SIM always works while the older one seems to have one issue a day.

It's terrible, the capitalist president will soon approve tariff increase because of network service delivery. Nigerians, body go tell everybody 📌💯

Yes MTN 4G service in particular.

Everything is getting worse in Nigeria at this moment. How do you expect mtn and Airtel to be an exception. It is not fair.
