Ondo people, the story that had everyone worried has taken a surprising turn.

Mrs Tilewa Olatunde Funke, the 42-year-old married woman who was declared missing from Ilara-Mokin, has been found safe in a hotel room in Ugbe-Akoko. She was with a 55-year-old man identified as Isa Alaba.

According to the police, the woman actually left her home on her own and travelled to Akure voluntarily. Her family raised the alarm and a search was launched, which eventually led officers to the hotel. Authorities have now confirmed there was no kidnapping or foul play involved.

The police are urging the public to stop spreading unverified stories that can cause unnecessary panic and tension. They say everything has been resolved peacefully.

Another one of those “missing person” cases that ends up being something totally different. We’ll keep you updated if any more details drop.

This is why people hardly take news of missing women serious. If parents freely discussed sex education with children, they would openly tell parents about their tryst whereabouts. Since that isn’t the case…
