obonujoker:This is deceptive and I didn't bother to read the details. Tradition is a constituted authority and you can be truthful, follow the right way and life in tradition. |

obonujoker:Sir, what do you think of secular (not wordly) music. They don't necessarily preach "soul salvation", but they can reflect love, politics, games and the likes. Is it evil to engage in such? |

obonujoker:And people like this will be the first to jubilate in Church that someone gets American or Canadian visa when all their noise making or sorry prayers for a better Nigeria is still unanswered for the past 40 years. What would you say is the main reason your pastors and prophets are using products made by idols worshippers in China including all the musical instruments and sound system in your Church all made by Chinese Bhuddists? Even your pastor's suit is made by chinese Bhuddists/Idol worshipers. |

There's something about religious people that baffled me all day. The moment an individual calls himself a born again Christian or Muslim, you started seeing how far sense is far from them. They start behaving and talking like APC members. What's the need for validation in a society that allows freedom of worship? As a Christian, don't mess, as a Christian, don't laugh, as a Christian don't climb bike, everyday. But as a Christian you can hide from your landlord, as a Christian you can lie to your boss to avoid going to work that day, as a Christian you can disturb others in a vehicle by preaching as if you don't know address to your church alter. Religion is a man's creation to give his soul a purpose and consolation. As a Christian, why don't you relocate to the North so that bandits can help you go live in your mansion in heaven. All these hypocrites, talking gibberish. OP Whether masquerade, New yam festival, Eid, Easter or Christmas. We are all selective sinners. We choose the sins we are comfortable with and judge others for the ones we are not comfortable with. If we should go by the standard of Christianity, even Pope and you will never make heaven. PS: The word " PAGAN" is a Latin word Paganus which means a villager or civilian. In the 4th century, the Roman Catholic in Rome started using the word to describe non Catholic. If we should go by the religious meaning of the word PAGAN, any Christian who is not Catholic nor Anglican is a pagan, including all your Daddy G.Os and yourself. |

erniok:Reality....which is the best evidence needed. If you want to live your life by a book...that's your problem....until you can establish what is written in that book as a "fact" it remains the opinion of you and those who chose to believe. |

Mattswaggz:. You are right nah. Division is one of the main objectives of Religion. Unfortunately for dumbs who have been brainwashed by the evil cartels that started Religion, they fail wit we Lagos boys. I am a Muslim who has spent more time in the Church than in the Mosques because Church services takes long when I follow my friends and family and relatives to their different Churches or when I trace fine girls to Churches. And when our Community Masquerades come out, I will still join our Imams’ children and our Pastors’ children with long canes that we cut inside Unilag bush to run, jump, dance and beat at the back of the Masquerades. Mind you, Christianity was first received in Lagos before it got to other part of the country. It was even a Lagosian Reverend Samuel Ajayi Crowther the grandfather of Herbert Macaulay who interpreted the Englush Bible to Yoruba before other language traditions, so the so called Christians in other parts of the country cannot claim to know the Bible or understand the Religion more than we Lagosians. And yet, another of our son Most Reverend Oluseyi Ogunbiyi started the Reformed Ogboni Fraternity (ROF) right in the Church together with other Reverends who understood the Bible far better than today’s businessmen Pastors |

They really did Africa dirty. Same religions that believed in saints said invoking our ancestors is fetish. Same religion that believe in angels and Jesus as a way to God said our deities are unclean. I am all for stopping human sacrifices butnis that all we used to be?. Our forefathers sing and dance to honor thier creator but how is that different from what is done in churches today?. Westerners simply put a name to everything. They did not teach us what we dont already know. |

Actually, everything is pagan. I'll give you a first example. You worship on Sundays which is pagan. The Sabbath is actually Saturdays. |

There are good aspects of culture. People choose these foreign made religions, whatever names they are...but your culture is you. There are good aspects of culture, just like there are bad aspects of foreign religions. Man chose these religions, they are under man, don't become a slave to it, take the good part and leave the bad part. Raping is not part of culture, some youths misconstrue it, just like some are killing for foreign religion today. People misuse things, don't blame culture for that...it's a good thing the cultural leaders in Delta state, came out to say that is not part of their culture, but you are blaming it on culture, Raping and evil is not part of our culture...we also hope northern Nigeria can alienate themselves from the extremism associated with their borrowed religion, and condemn it, just like our cultural leaders in Delta did. stop lying. You sound myopic, you need to study more. What you call paganism today is polytheism, where people have more than one God, where cultures have symbols and graven cultural images they worship. Egyptian empire, Romans, Greeks, Akkadians, Benin empire were all polytheists, before Christianity or Islam, these civilisations propounded most of the theories we use in our politics, social systems, physics, chemistry and masonry. It is only slaves that don't have their culture. China, Russia, UK, Scandinavians, Americans all have culture, but you people due to mental slavery malign your culture at every opportunity. Nigeria biggest problem today is jihadists terrorism, caused by extremists Islamic indoctrination not culture. |

They don't even know they are celebrating pagans festivals. Such as Christmas, new year etc. maybe they even have knowledge of what are named after their calendar. Pls tell me what these months means. January-December. Name of Pagans Idols You'll understand that everything you do from worshipping Jesus as God to everything that associated with Christianity was products of Pagans. The world Christianity was coined out by pagans and Can't be found in word of God. You need to seek for knowledge individually. Don't rely on what you pastors teaches, you can always get the best knowledge when you submit yourself to learning individually. Go through research, ask your AI chat deep questions. You'll understand what Christianity and pagans mean. |

Mattswaggz:Living by reality is so laughable. Reality changes with time and how do you deal with that. For example, there was a time in science that atom was indivisible and that was a reality as at that time. I thought you even had a strong argument for your postulation. |

obonujoker * Do you realise that Christmas is pegan festival * Do you also realise that new year is also a pegan festival * What about going to church on Sundays? Jesus Christ did not go to church on Sunday. * Jesus Christ never attended any church in his life time |

obonujoker:You are just a pawn. Learn how Christianity religion was formed by Constantinople, a Roman leader. Jesus did not intend for Christians to turn what he stood for into religion, because religion divide the people, Jesus did not start any religion in his time, he was born a Jew, Jesus preached spirituality and truth not religion. You are still at the surface, read and do more study to free your mind from enslavement. All religions is idolising men (prophets), that lived in the past, using symbols , cross, crescent, stone, statue of Mary, Jesus etc...same thing polytheist do, that are tagged 'pagans' today. Most religious people are just hypocrites but a lot have low IQ, they can't even see what stares them in the face. |

Don't be Yoruba Christian then, because we will never allow Igbo type of Christianity among us,just as we wont allow Hausa/Fulani type of islam among us if you can't eat salah meat as Christians and eat Christmas chicken as a Muslim, please South west is not meant for you. |

focus7:What have Nigeria gained from the two popular religions today? One is influencing terrorists, the other is fleecing Nigerians of their time and economic resources...not against religion, but I believe in cost/benefit analysis. Traditionalism will unify us around our African essence, unite our spirit and purpose and aspirations, this is how nations develop, this is why China is developing, united under Buddhism, which has been the traditions of their progenitors, and China is developing, we here are replacing our culture with foreign culture and where are we today? |
