Okay so the argument now is that we should keep Maguire even if we get new signings?
It is up to the club however, we need a senior CB and LB. Martinez is hardly ever fit for an extended period and you can't trust Shaw. The other options are Yoro and Heaven, so it is logical to keep Maguire as an experienced option on the bench.

Remember that we also need to strengthen the midfield and attack, so we should not expect the club to sign two central defenders when we require serious reinforcement in midfield.

In an event where our midfield and attack didn't need reinforcement, I would have been expecting at least 2 CBs coming in with Maguire leaving but at the moment, we can only get one while we channel our resources to sign at least 2 midfielders and a forward.

It's not just that we need to strengthen the midfield...OUR ENTIRE BUDGET MIGHT GO TO THE MIDFIELD ffs because we're basically going to get at least two world class midfielders in this inflated market..

Don't understand why people can't see the logic of keeping Maguire for one more year..DeLigt and Martinez are doctors, Shaw's legs are gone and Dalot is Dalot, with how empty we're in the midfield, the defence can manage till at least January..

It's not as if we're now rid of the most broke billionaire owner in the world sef

Is it bad if we get 3 midfielders and two defenders?

Be like we never ready to compete.

We no get experienced CB sha. We need keep Maguire.

Martinez and De Light should be sold ASAP. Those long term injuries no make sense. Bayern reap us.

Noah Ajayi just shot a wonderful top angle ball against Leeds Under-18s, but it went so fast through the hole in the net that nobody realized it was a goal.

The goal didnt count?

Yes, it didn't count. The officials didn't realise and even the players didn't celebrate although the commentators suspected that it might have been a goal.
I slowed the video down on YouTube and it looks to have passed through a hole in the top corner of the net.

Okay I think we're all on the same page. The club might just surprise us. Having a stable quality defense is very important for the team

Knowing how we move, 3 midfielders na like $150-200m and two defender go reach like 100m...We still need an attacker who can play from the LW and CF. If money dey, make them sign them but in reality, I doubt.

De Zerbi making the same mistake of Igor Tudor. You have to put your most creative player on the pitch. The most creative player at Spurs is Xavi Simon and nothing creative is achieved by bringing him in the game from the bench in the dying minutes.
Spurs look like a doomed team devoid of ideas. Sitting on the edge of the relegation trap door.
Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by Beorn: 5:56pm On Apr 12
The Chelshit team are so annoying. Playing as if they came to play or aren't getting paid. No iota of seriousness at all. Carelessly giving away possession like they want Shitty to win.

I'm so pained. Can't believe Shitty is about to win this league again.

Spurs are definitely going down. it's a shame because that stadium of theirs is really nice. I loved looking at it from the outside when I used to walk that high street grin
you watch them play and can't understand what the hell they are trying to do.
it's hard to believe they beat us in 4 consecutive games only last season.

It is so unfortunate because Spurs are a genuine big team with a lot of history. Personally I feel Spurs made a mistake in hiring all these foreign chaps like Tudor and De Zerbi to fight a relegation battle. Tudor looked like a deer caught in the headlights and totally out of his depth. De Zerbi on the other hand looks stubborn and stuck in his rigid way with a known and established history of abandoning former clubs mid stream. How he left Olympic Marseille is in the public domain. While I hope Spurs escape,it just doesn't look likely and the games remaining are so few,and also with their fellow relegation colleagues.
This Spurs relegation issue is a lesson to every big club, including Manchester United. You must work to retain your position every season and no team remains in the Premier league based on reputation or historical records.

100% agree...

A club in their position should’ve gone straight for an EPL—proven relegation escape artist. Instead, they’re still behaving like Europa League Champions rather than a team drowning in a relegation battle. The ego is unbelievable — as if picking up the phone to someone like Sam Allardyce is beneath them.

A team that reached a Champions League final less than a decade ago shouldn’t be anywhere near the bottom three, yet here they are, paralysed by pride and delusion. They refused to accept what they’ve become, and now they’re paying the price for it.

We were lucky last season — if Ten Haag was sacked a month earlier thereabouts, we would most likely have suffered a similar fate.

@Bolded,
That was why I was gobsmacked when I saw the usual suspects advocating and supporting RELEGATION last season as a REJUVENATION in order to show support for their greasy haired airhead. Relegation would set this club back by a decade because you would lose your best players on the cheap and there is no guarantee that you would bounce back to the Premier league because the Championship is a brutal, nasty and unforgiving league. Those who gained promotion out of that place have tales that can last a lifetime. Visits to places like Stoke on a cold, blistering rainy night.
