https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7KOWN2E30cE?si=LTDyxbGv0ZwvjyTI Interesting video... quite keen on property ownership among us Do blacks in the UK really own zero housing wealth (net)? Doesn't surprise how building wealth in other domains would be difficult when the basics are missing. The concerning part is how easy it is for the average person today to compound wealth and have themselves in good stand within a generation or two. This is also a benefit black households should enjoy. Take a couple who have largely paid up their mortgage and now gifting their kid money for a house deposit in their early-mid 20's. That already sets that child on a pedestal they can compound from. That is my worry - that stats like this don't get worse. |

justwise:Do you need statistical analysis, when you read what the coroner stated and views when an immigrant is involved in anything negative........ |

jedisco:With direct debits long term investors.this swings would simply not affect our portfolios greatly..... But imagine having a £3 million pot on standby, taking advantages of this swings..... A 20% upside is enough to buy you a Lamborghini Revuelto....... 🤣😂 |

Lexusgs430:The guy could well be an ex-danfo driver from Lagos. Which normal person proceeds to aggressively pursue a driving licence by taking 4 tests just after killing someone on the road? I wouldn't be surprise if he continued driving as normal after incidence. |
| Re: Living In The Uk-life Of An Immigrant (part 3) by justwise(mod): 9:03pm On Apr 12 |
jedisco:Exactly! Immigrants are always at the wrong end of everything that is going wrong in the country, very convenient to suggest a policy that will further place more restrictions on immigrants who are already struggling to navigate the system |

Lexusgs430:Lol @Lamborghini Revuelto. Had to look it up. E be like say your eye don dey look big things. Finally, it takes balls to sink large money in at once when the market is down. Markets would only fall for a reason and anytime it's down, majority of folks would call for even lower prices. In retrospect, it's always clear. Reason I saluted the chap who put £20k on 6th April last yr. |

This is SWEET!!!! Viktor Orbán concedes with Hungarian https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/live/c2d8zw2d3rkt Trump sent JD Vance to support Viktor Orbán re-election but Hungarians know what they want. |

justwise:In all let folks educate themselves properly about driving rules, the psychology here is different as everyone expects compliance from each other unlike back home in naija where we all assume everyone on the road is a mad man! Honestly I now understand better why there is a theory test before practical. Let those just arriving the country and who are eager to drive asap begin to study for the theory test immediately not to just pass but to quickly understand driving in the uk, it helps greatly, talking from experience! |

justwise:When I saw Vance and Trump’s son on twitter campaigning for Orban I knew it was all over. The voter turn out was massive and the people spoke clearly that they wanted no Russian stooge running their country 😂 o loud gan |

jedisco:Historically, how many times have the markets, never returned from a slump........ 😁 |

A situation where you want to renew the passports of children and you cannot use the app, what is the process like at the embassy? Anyone with recent experience of renewing kids passports should please give me an update 🙏 Alapereketu: |

jedisco:ISA, LISA, SIPP - All set for regular investments every month and auto-purchases of my selected ETF (just one across all three - I have given up trying to pick stocks (PLTR did me good last year but the seesaws aren't good for my emotional wellbeing lol). I think dollar cost averaging is the best way to do it and not trying to time the market, which with Trump at the help of affairs; is infinitely more difficult to do now anyway. |
| Re: Living In The Uk-life Of An Immigrant (part 3) by Goodenoch: 10:47pm On Apr 12 |
Lexusgs430:It is true that the market has always returned from a slump but depending on when a person needs to access their funds, it might as well be permanently slumped. E.g. If a person was planning to retire in the early 2000s, they'd have started drawing from their funds right at the beginning of the lost decade (the peak of the dot-com bubble in March 2000 through March 2010 when the S&P 500 was down 24%). That would have been crushing because even though the market rose again they'd have ate a huge drop and also been drawing funds to live on. Assuming the standard 4% drawdown rate, they may have lost close to 60% of all their funds in that 10 year period). |
| Re: Living In The Uk-life Of An Immigrant (part 3) by Lexusgs430: 11:03pm On Apr 12 |
Goodenoch:To avoid selling in a negative position, one MUST plan for multiple sources of retirement funding + plan strategically...... For example, you can pull funds from your private pensions and state pension.... Let's assume your ISA is not performing well, keep watching it...... 🤣 |
| Re: Living In The Uk-life Of An Immigrant (part 3) by Lexusgs430: 11:06pm On Apr 12 |
Goodenoch:Your time in the market is more important, than attempting to time the market..... Except you have a massive chest of funds to deploy, for snatch and grab....... 😊 |

Goodenoch:I will soon join you in this boat, I'm tired of these individual sticks and opening my T212 every 212 minutes. Just waiting for recovery to sell off. I've opened a moneybox balanced fund, let that run itself |
| Re: Living In The Uk-life Of An Immigrant (part 3) by justwise(mod): 11:55am On Apr 13 |
Goke7:Totally in agreement with that, everyone should be subjected to the same policy and not only those carrying foreign license. If there is an evidence out there that clearly shows that those with foreign license are involved in accidents mote than British ones then i'm all in for the policy |

Goke7:I don't want to call that one the world most dumbest but if the dumbest person dies..... |
| Re: Living In The Uk-life Of An Immigrant (part 3) by jedisco(m): 3:16pm On Apr 13 |
Lexusgs430:So far... zero. The question becomes how deep/long a slump can one stomach. Human ingenuity would continue to blossom and the market would reflect this. If not for anything, the advent of fiat money, guaranteed government printing and inflation ensures money flows to the market at least nominally. |

Goodenoch:Hehe... the rollercoaster of price swings with individual stocks reminds me of crypt0- high BP for nothing. Index fvnds offer one good piece of mind. But it seems new tech coys want to feed fat on the index space and guaranteed purchase by launching directly into index fvnds at exceptionally high valuations. One can be sure that if this works, more listings would follow suit. This video by Ben Felix explains it further. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iOyFja87uyw?si=nDzKGGiS34g_n78f Haven't been able to get myself to invest large sums at once even though from verifiable data and personal experience, it beats DCAing. I still prefer to DCA over some months. |

jedisco:The less your stomach can accept a dip in your portfolio...... Is simply a product of your own panache..... 😁😊 A floating loss, is much better than an actual loss.... 😢😂 |
| Re: Living In The Uk-life Of An Immigrant (part 3) by Lexusgs430: 5:09am On Apr 14 |
Viruses:This is the risk you take with individual stocks... No risk..... No ferrari....... 😁😂 Etf's are slow and steady, whilst individual stocks can swing in all directions........ You can make over 200% on individual stocks, within a few days, not possibly with etf's...... 😁 |

terrymason:A UI/UX person would mostly produce renders or sometimes a front-end tho, unless that's all you need. You can send me hello using the WhatsApp number on my signature or info[at]buildbrothers.com |
