Best decision I ever made was to quit my japa plans and the madness to join my friends in the UK. I got admission, got all my documents and was preparing to pay school fees when my former employer said boy what's wrong with you? You have a thriving business and you want to leave to go and wash nyash in the UK? I was making 1m from my business after expenses two years ago. I could save 500k when I remove feeding and other family wahala but it wasnt enough. It was when I wrote my former boss for reference letter ABI wetin them call am, he called me to his office and talked to me. He is someone that travels to UK and other countries like 15 times in a year and he understands better. He said I should forget about UK, Europe and Canada that they are not worth it. That if I can move to the US legally that he can advise me to sacrifice everything and go, even Japan or South Korea he will encourage me to go but UK, Canada and Europe it doesn't worth me shutting down my business for them that I will regret it I listened and aborted all plans. I tried US until Trump entered and made it impossible to go Now sha I am grateful, aborting my plans made me put more effort in business and now I can save 2m comfortably after expenses and family bills. I do not regret going and not even interested in any japa moves now so long as business remains good |

Not only the UK, it’s same situation in many western countries, especially densely populated countries like The Netherlands, Belgium, and Ireland. And there are no signs that it’s getting better. It just seems like people work to pay rent, mobile data, utility bills, fake it on social media and repeat monthly. |

Mattswaggz:Obidients will tell you its only in Nigeria there is housing crisis and govt should provide housing for every Nigerian. |

[quote author=Mattswaggz post=139138811]This housing crisis is becoming serious in the UK and Nigeria is towing the same path as things stands though some will even argue that it is even worse compared to the UK Not only in the UK, other European countries are inclusive and Nigeria will soon follow suit. No thanks to some social media influencers who come online. Saying building properties for rent is a waste of investment. We rise by lifting others |

Mattswaggz:Mass immigration is a major cause of this problem as the rising demand for housing is affecting rent and left many citizens unable to keep up. |

New007:There are more homeless people in Europe than you have in nigeria.....let that sink, you dont have to always condemn your country......though might be substandard or inadequate housing which is largely due to rural urban migration thats why its very common in the cities. |

judewrites:Oga in the UK will you call it poverty as compared to Eg Nigeria? Naa, it is not the same. In uk you can afford to eat good, you can drive the kind of cars celebrities drive in Nigeria, Omo, latest model Mercedes Benz, BMW, those ones that their dashboard is like iPad, the basics is available to you Eg education. But here in eg naija, you face the poverty heads on. Eg there is this young lady just turned 18 this year employed as a maid to an elderly lady, Omo you have to see how bright this young girl is, well spoken, confident, infact beyond her age. I understand her papa is ill, the mother is doing nothing and so the girls income is what is sustaining her family. Imagine! Walai that little girl is first class material. The fact is that without opportunity, her life will get wasted. Had it been she was in the uk, opportunity would have been there for her to go to school up to university level or go for training and apprenticeship in fields she has interest in. |

Lithiumite:Where are your facts to back up these claims? I'm not condemning my country. I'm speaking from experience and most of us have that experience. |

nedekid:Poverty is a global problem, but it has levels. Poverty is very bad in Nigeria compared to other places. |

In as much as those western countries like UK have their own significant problems, it can't be compered to what we are facing here in Nigeria. It very common to see a 30 year + who is still living with his parents without any bearing and direction in life, this country isn't funny. So APC miscreants shouldn't use other countries problem to make it look like this kind of poverty in this country is universal, they can only decieve the gullible anyways |

Not a bad idea as long as you and your family will volunteer to get culled from the world. Be that change and leader the world desire and hopefully the world will follow in your foot steps as depopulation martyrs👍 iichidodo: |

Mattswaggz:I wish I could place this your write up as front page on every major global newspaper. I just wonder why some people are so dumb about Trump! Europe badly needs courageous leaders like he and Bibi or that ideology of violence will take over someday amongst other calamities. These are real men of steel! Thank God they don't give a hoot whatever anyone else thinks to the contrary. |
