This housing crisis is becoming serious in the UK and Nigeria is towing the same path as things stands though some will even argue that it is even worse compared to the UK already.

To pay rent or buy a property in the UK now is not for the feint hearted......not to mention the country is now having a high number of radicals immigrants.

It would seem that UK is presently flexing on past glories and it would be a matter of time before that one too fades if they don't get their act together and vote in strong leaders.

1 in 3 is even better. Ours has always been 4 in 5 or some 5 in 5 or 3 in 3. It's getting worse now with high rent and agent fees.

There are more homeless people in Europe than you have in nigeria.....let that sink,you dont have to always condemn your country......though might be substandard or inadequate housing which is largely due to rural urban migration thats why its very common in the cities.

Oga in the UK will you call it poverty as compared to Eg Nigeria? Naa, it is not the same. In uk you can afford to eat good, you can drive the kind of cars celebrities drive in Nigeria, Omo, latest model Mercedes Benz, BMW, those ones that their dashboard is like iPad, the basics is available to you Eg education. But here in eg naija, you face the poverty heads on. Eg there is this young lady just turned 18 this year employed as a maid to an elderly lady, Omo you have to see how bright this young girl is, well spoken, confident, infact beyond her age. I understand her papa is ill, the mother is doing nothing and so the girls income is what is sustaining her family. Imagine! Walai that little girl is first class material. The fact is that without opportunity, her life will get wasted. Had it been she was in the uk, opportunity would have been there for her to go to school up to university level or go for training and apprenticeship in fields she has interest in.

Not only the UK, it’s same situation in many western countries, especially densely populated countries like The Netherlands, Belgium, and Ireland.

And there are no signs that it’s getting better. It just seems like people work to pay rent, mobile data, utility bills, fake it on social media and repeat monthly.

More than one in three young men in the UK were living with their parents in 2025, up from 26% in 2000, according to data from the Office for National Statistics (ONS).

The increase is being driven by high renting costs and rising house prices, recent studies suggest.

The data shows 35% of young men aged 20-35 were living with their parents - more than young women (22%), although the rate in both groups has been increasing.

In separate research, the statistics body found the rising cost of living was the most important issue facing adults, above the NHS and the economy in general.

Nathan, 24, lives with his dad in a council house just outside of Manchester.

He works night shifts cleaning and maintaining trains and says he has managed to build up a savings pot of £50,000 by not moving out of the family home.

"If you are lucky enough to live with a mum, dad or grandparent who doesn't charge you much rent, then you can build up money even on the minimum wage," he says.

He says he cooks chillis and stews to take to work, avoids impulse purchases and tries to keep spending on a night out below £20.

"I'm not that interested in getting a flashy car, spending it all on alcohol, or getting some £500 trainers," he adds.

"My dad managed to buy a house at 21, but that was just how it was back then."

That's why I laugh at those always attacking Trump....he is heading in the right direction just that the rot has gotten so deep that it is almost impossible to reverse....he is trying to restore America's strength and might....these EU countries are going down slowly thanks to negative policies and mentality and Trump is trying to rid the US of that kind of mentality.
