giselle237:Thanks for the response She was supposed to travel during her long vac school holiday in July, that's the only time really she has. And the transaction is in February , the other months are ok not sure if I should write the 420k as monthly expenditure as it was a one off bulk purchase that made the expenditure average increase above her salary. Or maybe I should leave the application for a bit later and use only 3 months statement (March, April, May) instead of 6 months I had planned to use. Would it be fine to only put her salary account for the application? She transfers money to her second account (transactions there are a complete mess) from the salary account. She is 53years Strong points, she is a Fed govt teacher with regular salary, has payslips, school calendar, intro letter, employment letter etc to back it too She has two children under 18 and a husband that are not travelling She has landed property |

Goodluck70000:Yes, there is definitely hope since they have agreed to reconsider the decision, but it is still a 50–50 chance until the final outcome is made. |

HaneefahRN:Use the Immigration rules against them. Quote 1 or 2 if possible. • Use 3 months statement from her and enough from yourself, please upload your birth certificate and also have enough money in your pounds account pls. • In many households, especially in Nigeria, financial support from husband/family is normal and lawful • Upload her employment letters from as far back as when she started. • Family ties are present - husband, children under 18 etc please give these proper weight when you make the application. |

Good evening everyone My agent made a mistake during my application and chose 'no' to travel history when for a matter of fact I did travel to another country around October 2017 on a visitor visit. I saw the mistake when he sent my application pdf. I can no longer modify or edit the application As it stands I'm yet to pay for ihs and visa due to the mistake. Will it affect the outcome of the application if I go ahead to pay for the ihs and visa fee and book my appointment for biometrics? What do you advise I do? |

narcdramaqueen:Hello all, thank you for all the good advice so far. Trying again with this question. If the sponsor is based in Nigeria, what evidence can you use to say that they are not breaching UK immigration law? I am sponsoring my son in this case. I have a 10-year visitor visa since 2021, no overstays on any trip. Thanks in advance. |

Newbie2024:Oh. Thanks just seeing this. But they have refused my wife's application. They didn't factor me as her sponsor. Any advice

| Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by Newbie2024(m): 7:38pm On Apr 30 |
tobyemmanuel:The visa was refused because the officer was not satisfied that your wife's financial situation in Nigeria supports the trip or proves you would return after your visit. Your salary is ₦190,000 monthly, with about ₦80,750 left after expenses, but you planned to spend ₦550,000 for a 7-day trip. This seemed too high and raised doubts. Although you are sponsoring her, their focus is mainly on the applicant's financial situation and were not convinced that your wife would return to Nigeria after the exam. The best option here is to improve her finance and reapply. As I mentioned earlier in this thread, the funds available for your trip should ideally not exceed 2–3 months of your normal income; otherwise, it may raise concerns with the visa officer. Best of luck 🤞 |
| Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by tobyemmanuel(m): 8:26pm On Apr 30 |
Newbie2024:thank you very much. I understand. In the field requesting how much she would spend, we put ₦550,000, do you think it would have helped if she put a lower figure? Actually, I planned to sponsor all her expenses and it was stated. Also, is there any time restriction for reapplication? How early can we reapply? Thank you again chief |
| Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by Newbie2024(m): 8:30pm On Apr 30 |
tobyemmanuel:Yes, an amount equivalent to 2–3 months of her income is ideal. Anything more than that may raise concerns. |
| Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by tobyemmanuel(m): 10:12pm On Apr 30 |
Newbie2024:thank you very much. How soon can we reapply though? |
| Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by Newbie2024(m): 3:12am On May 01*. Modified: 3:27am On May 01 |
tobyemmanuel:Since you stated in the application that she is travelling for an exam, I would advise you to maintain that position. Reapply when the next exam date is close, preferably not less than 6 months, so she will have enough time to improve her financial standing. |

It is over 2 weeks since I replied a request from the decision center for uk visa. This tuesday will make 3 weeks and I’ve not heard from them. I’m considering doing a paid inquiry by sending a mail. Anybody has an idea how this works and how this matter can be resolved |

| Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by Taal17: 12:35pm On May 03 |
Newbie2024:But the 550k is slightly less than 3minths of a 190k per month income. 190+190+190=570k Unless you meant 2-3 months of her expenses or savings after expenses |

| Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by Mumibaby(f): 4:55pm On May 04 |
Hello everyone, I am planning to apply for a visit visa for my mother, who is a teacher. I would like her to visit in July to spend her eight-week holiday with her grandchildren. I will be her sponsor and will cover all the costs. Based on my research, long-term holiday applications may be subject to denial. I am also concerned that if I state a three-week visit on the application and she stays for eight weeks, it could negatively impact her future visa applications. What do you advise in this situation? Thank you |
| Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by giselle237: 5:35pm On May 04 |
Mumibaby:State 3 weeks. Avoid more scrutiny and stress. Get all the leave letters and no objection letters from employer etc. When the visa is out she can stay upto 180 days. |
| Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by giselle237: 5:37pm On May 04 |
Nanauju2:This is the thread. You can check earlier parts. Depends on your circumstances in Nigeria How much is your salary How much expenses monthly |

giselle237:Boss Good day, for someone earning 850k & d monthly expense is 400k but has a savings of 3M and going for 7 days vacation; what's the chance? thank You |
| Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by BruceXavier: 11:56am On May 06 |
akinsanya005:There is a portion in the form that asks, how much do you intend to spend on the trip. Your answer to that quesion will determine if these financials you have stated is tenable or not. Your circumstance will play a huge role. Are you a first time traveller to the UK? What is your travel history and the quality. However, if I am to work on the assumption that you haven't been to the UK, Schenghen, Canada or US and you will be responsible for all your travel expense including flights, accommodation and miscellaneous, this your savings won't fly. Hold on for a few more months and build that number to at least 6m. |
| Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by Newbie2024(m): 12:44pm On May 06*. Modified: 1:09pm On May 06 |
akinsanya005:Chances are quite slim. It’s better to get a sponsor or build your account to a reasonable amount, around 7m or more. My wife recently got her visa with over 8m in her account, and I also supported her application as a sponsor |
