Peter Obi Leaves ADC For NDC by fergie001(mod): 12:26pm On May 03
Fellow Nigerians, good morning.

I woke up this morning after my church service with a deeply reflective heart, and despite every constraint, I felt compelled to share these thoughts with you.

Many people do not truly understand the silent pains some of us carry daily—the private struggles, emotional burdens, and quiet battles we face while trying to survive and serve sincerely in difficult circumstances.

We now live in an environment that has become increasingly toxic, where the very system that should protect and create opportunities for decent living often works against the people—a society where intimidation, insecurity, endless scrutiny, and discouragement have become normal.

More painful is when some of those you associate with, believing you would find understanding and solidarity among them, become part of the pressure you face. Some who publicly identify with you privately distance themselves or join in unfair criticism.

We live in a society where humility is mistaken for weakness, respect is seen as a lack of courage, and compassion is treated as foolishness—a system where treating people equally is questioned simply because you refuse to worship status, tribe, class, or power.

Personally, I have never looked down on anyone except to uplift them. I have never used privilege, position, or resources to oppress others, intimidate the weak, or make people feel small. To me, leadership has always been about service, sacrifice, and helping others rise.

Let me state clearly: my decision to leave the ADC is not because our highly respected Chairman, Senator David Mark, treated me badly, nor because my leader and elder brother, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, or any other respected leaders did anything personally wrong to me. I will continue to respect them.

However, the same Nigerian state and its agents that created unnecessary crises and hostility within the Labour Party that forced me to leave now appear to be finding their way into the ADC, with endless court cases, internal battles, suspicion, and division, instead of focusing on deeper national problems and playing politics built more on control and exclusion than on service and nation-building.

Even within spaces where one labours sincerely, one is sometimes treated like an outsider in one’s own home. You and your team become easy targets for every failure, frustration, or misunderstanding, as though honest contribution has become a favour being tolerated rather than appreciated.

And when you choose to leave so that those you are leaving can have peace, and you step out into the cold, you are still maligned and your character is questioned. Despite all your efforts to continue working for a better Nigeria and engaging people with sincerity and goodwill, those who do not wish you well continue to attack your character and question your intentions.

There are moments I ask God in prayer: Why is doing the right thing often misconstrued as wrongdoing in our country? Why is integrity not valued? Why is the prudent management of resources, especially when invested in critical areas like education and healthcare, wrongly labelled as stinginess? Why are humility and obedience to the rule of law often taken to be weakness rather than discipline?

Let me assure all that I am not desperate to be President, Vice President, or Senate President. I am desperate to see a society that can console a mother whose child has been kidnapped or killed while going to school or work. I am desperate to see a Nigeria where people will not live in IDP camps but in their homes. I am desperate for a country where Nigerian citizens do not go to bed hungry, not knowing where their next meal will come from.

Yet, despite everything, I remain resolute. I firmly believe that Nigeria can still become a country with competent leadership based on justice, compassion, and equal opportunity for all.

A new Nigeria is POssible. -PO

Leaving is not the problem, not planning like you did before entering ADC is

Kwankwaso is still tagging you along to go box you in NDC, there will be a primary which you dread so much

That places kwankwaso as another atiku in ndc cos he has northern delegates and a good unifier in southern politics
Re: Peter Obi Leaves ADC For NDC by AMINDA: 12:31pm On May 03
We wish Obi well in his new destination. All we are asking for is for democracy to be let to thrive in the country. Every politician is at liberty to pursue their individual aspirations. The ADC was clear to him from the get-go. He chose to join notwithstanding and is now free to leave. It's a political party, not a cult.

Nigeria politics isn't for a good guy like Peter obi. Good man with a good heart but can't govern a complex country like Nigeria.

If Peter Obi can't build men or get through the murky waters of the primaries and can't even get his previous party fixed when challenges arose, how sure are we that he can handle the complexities of Nigeria?
He wasn't even special as a governor like Amaechi mentioned yesterday. So I wonder why Obidients see him as the messiah. He isn't!!
Becoming the president is just an ambition to him!
He is not doing it for the masses. He's not different from the other politicians we have.

Note that, A Tinubu vs Atiku vs Peter Obi vs Kwankwanso on 2027 ballots will produce the same results like we had in 2023.
Kwankwanso doesn't look ready to deputize Obi going by his press statement yesterday. Na Obidients dey famz am grin

Chai. It's confirmed, Peter Obi has been working for president Tinubu secretly for quite some time

The thread below is as far back as 2025. As long as Obi and Atiku won't be in the same party, the thread below is justified

Re: Peter Obi Leaves ADC For NDC by Lordhanzo: 12:32pm On May 03
It was atiku hope to trap obi inside adc. Just like he trapped Wike and rendered him mad 😂

Obi repeatedly said there should be direct primary. Atiku did not have the numbers for that. He ran to Ibadan to recruit makinde, insisting on selection.

Why is atiku running away from direct primaries ? He owns adc ? Did Buhari build apc ? Did obj build pdp ? Atiku is not statesman. His last outing will end in disgrace

For all the Apc sycophants talking about obi. You do this out of frustration. Obi will run. !!!!!
Re: Peter Obi Leaves ADC For NDC by Felabrity: 12:32pm On May 03
I hope he knows what he is doing and not just moving upandan because of "what will my supporters say" or because Kwankwaso wants to be his VP (Kwankwaso also has his own agenda)

I personally want him on the ballot, but we shouldn't be making the same mistakes of 2023.

Nothing new here. Dude changes party every Nkwo market day.

But this means the opposition coalition is not longer coalescing. Well, I doubt they ever had a chance against Mr Tinubu though.

Regrettably, like I did in May 2022

I congratulate President Bola Tinubu on his re-election as President of World's most populous black nation.

We will continue to put you on your toes and ensure that democracy will not die. Whilst I congratulate you, I believe that you have sunk this country far low, hopefully you have time to write your name in the history books, I wish you well.

Politicians are like fishes. They love to swim out of problems to a more convenient place. If na you nko, what will you do?

Whatsoever it is, sha no vote for Tinubu in the upcoming election. It is better to replace your bad electronic gadget with a fairly used rather than leaving the bad, non functional gadget still on your desk because you don't have money to get a new one

Look around, there are many fairly used tested and non tested gadgets we can try out, rather than leaving a damaged one there forever.

VOTE OUT APC, VOTE OUT TINUBU, LET'S TRY A FAIRLY USED ONE.

He should leave quickly. God loves President Bola Ahmed Tinubu so much, that his enemies are fighting one another. Expect more intrigues in the new party that the agulu fraudster is entering next. Inconsistency follows him like flies on faeces.

He seems to have a problem with accepting reality. I think he has a lot of bad advisers around him
Him and Atiku are fast becoming the Awolowo and Azikiwe of the 70s. They just can't find common ground on their own

As it is now the opposition is already 50% done for against tinubu.

Assuredly tinubu will now remove his moles in adc and allow atiku snatch some millions up north.

Kwankwaso vs obi fight na him we dey now cos guyman has said their is no where he hasn't gone for the presidency no matter when it was buhari and atiku

I agree with this post. There is no serious contest in 2027. And that's not because Mr Tinubu is running the country well.

My verdict

Not fit to rule Nigeria.

Thank you for this piece.
But I hate to tell you that your timing of rapture is flawed.
Bible says in Matthew 24... After the tribulation of those days.... not before...

No one is going to avoid the Antichrist little season.
No one will be physically snatched away from this Earth.
God may set true believers apart in a place of safety but anyone still alive will witness AC reign.

That's why it says Those days were shortened, for if not even the elect would not be saved.
Who are the elect ?
Witches and wizards ?
No, believers
Christians
Yes my brother, Satan's little Season began few Years ago after the CORONAtion and Enthronement of the AntiChrist. Quite painful that many Christians are still slumbering oblivious of the fact that the AntiChrist is already ruling this World and many have already taken the Mark of the Beast cry I still wonder how Pastors couldn't see it and many that know are too Cowardly to Warn Humanity about it. More saddening is the fact that many love to Deceive themselves that they don't know who the AntiChrist is despite that he has now started forcing his thing into the Bodies(Temples of I AM THAT I AM) of even Babies all round the World. He has announced that he wants to Block the Sun and no Presidents dare question him because the 5 Presidents that tried to Prevent him from Accessing the Bodies(Temples of Our CREATOR) of their Citizens during his CORONAtion Era died without Explanation.

2023 repeating itself 😂

Tinubu JuJu strong 😂

These opposition failed to realized that a tree cannot make a forest, I only pity the innocent Nigerians who will bear more burden after 2027 election

The opposition party failed to put her house in order and put Nigerians first

These guys are after their personal ambition & zero interest of the masses

It will definitely favour some people for house of rep, house of assembly, & senatorial seat

The only way to wrestle power real time is to have a very strong one and formidable opposition but these scattered house will ensure the ruling party is returned to power come 2027

Maximum Respect to Omoyele Sowore
