It was atiku hope to trap obi inside adc. Just like he trapped Wike and rendered him mad 😂

Obi repeatedly said there should be direct primary. Atiku did not have the numbers for that. He ran to Ibadan to recruit makinde, insisting on selection.

Why is atiku running away from direct primaries ? He owns adc ? Did Buhari build apc ? Did obj build pdp ? Atiku is not statesman. His last outing will end in disgrace

For all the Apc sycophants talking about obi. You do this out of frustration. Obi will run. !!!!!
Obi will still carry the same third and end worst from the last time and you guys will end crying that the election was rigged. For Atiku he would even do better.

LEDOTE:
I think it is a strategic move to defeat the ruling APC. Atiku has captured the majority of the electorates in Northern Nigeria. Tinubu will struggle in the North. The elites of the SE will try to rig for Tinubu in the East if Obi is not on the ballot (especially as the Presidential candidate). Therefore, if Obi refuses to deputise Atiku as VP or not given the VP slot, then it becomes a smart move to ensure that SE votes do not go to Tinubu. SE votes will most likely decide the winner between Atiku & Tinubu. If Atiku cannot get it, Atiku prefers that Tinubu also does not get it. I suspect that Kwankwaso is actually working for Atiku. Recall Atiku's recent visit to Kwankwaso in Kano. Also note that Kwakwanso said he would never deputise Obi before now. If Kwankwaso eventually deputises Obi, this will confirm my suspicion.
Despite Kwankwanso on the ballot as VP to Obi, the North will not vote the ticket but use the ticket to lure away SE votes from Tinubu. In all these, the SE must avoid emotional politics to avoid loosing out again. They have to make a strategic decision and I think aligning with APC now holds the best opportunity to clinch presidential ticket in the future. SE's path to presidency lies (for the foreseable future) in the alignment with SS, SW & MB. NE & NW are no go areas due to religious differences and historical hostilities. 10,000 boreholes, billions in donations and even bigger project cannot do it. Obi/Kwankwaso will not sell in the North and Kwankwaso/Obi will not sell in the South. If Atiku eventially wins tnrough this strategy, he will directly or imdirectly compensate Obi after gaining power. It will be the reverse of what happened in favour of APC in 2023.
Obi/datti amed sell in the north but Obi/Kwankwaso cannot sell in the north.... Mk una dey lie small small... If not for PDP structure u think atiku can pull that numbers of vote? Dey play e go shock u🙄

The rise of Peter Obi and the Obedient Movement marked a powerful shift in Nigeria’s political landscape. For the first time in a long while, many young Nigerians felt a sense of ownership in the democratic process. The energy, the mobilization on social media, and the desire for change showed that Nigerian youth are no longer apathetic. That in itself is significant.

However, enthusiasm alone is not enough to build a nation.

There is a growing concern that the same youth who are energized are not asking the right questions. It is understandable that many are dissatisfied with the current administration under Bola Ahmed Tinubu. Economic hardship, insecurity, and governance challenges have created frustration. But dissatisfaction should not replace critical thinking.

Nigeria has been here before.

In 2015, many Nigerians.especially young people. rallied behind Muhammadu Buhari with high hopes for change. The dominant narrative then was also about replacing the incumbent, not necessarily scrutinizing the alternative deeply enough. Today, the outcome of that decision is widely debated, and many feel the expectations were not met. That moment should have been a lesson in political responsibility.

Yet, it appears history may be repeating itself.

A troubling trend in current political discourse is the “anything but Tinubu” mindset. While the desire for change is valid, choosing leadership based solely on opposition rather than evaluation can lead to unintended consequences. Leadership is not just about being different. it is about being prepared, competent, and accountable.

The Obedient Movement has shown what is possible when youth unite. But unity without interrogation is risky. Nigerian youth must go beyond slogans and emotional support. They must demand clarity on policies, question track records, and critically assess the capacity of any aspirant seeking the presidency, including Peter Obi or anyone else.

The future of Nigeria depends not just on participation, but on informed participation.

If the youth truly want lasting change, they must resist the temptation of blind support and instead embrace constructive scrutiny. Asking the right questions today is the only way to avoid regret tomorrow.

The coast is finally cleared for Tinubu. The only alliance that could have challenged Tinubu has scattered. This election is just a cruise for Tinubu, no opposition.

Like someone clearly stated above, obi is not special and he can't even offer anything different from what the current lunatics in power are doing.

He didn't do any thing spectacular as a governor

He couldn't fix minor issues in his former party

He definitely won't be able to fix a very complex and problematic nation like Nigeria.

Atiku is not a statesman yet he left his EXECUTIVE governor position to be Obasanjo’s spare tyre VP in 1999

Atiku is not a statesman but in 2003, he was loyal to his boss and resisted northern pressure to make Obasanjo a one term president. This was the first time Buhari asked for the job of president and was rejected.

Atiku is not a statesman but in 2007 he led other democratic heroes to defend the constitution and defeat Obasanjo’s 3rd term agenda for life president.

Atiku is not a statesman yet he offered to step down in 2023 if PDP microzoned the presidency to the south east.

Are you sure that you know what statesman means huh

is it because he is calling for the southern turn to be respected by the opposition or because he refused to be caged by the evil antics of Tinubu and Co? I really want to be convinced with facts not just emotions. I have tried to reason like them but it's just not making sense to me.

I like your assessment of the the issue but it is embarrassing and repulsive when APC supporters reference the 2015 protest votes against PDP and resulting consequences. For crying out loud, it is this same APC now taking advantage of that narrative that orchestrated the removal of Jonathan. For me, they ought first take responsibility for bringing forward Buhari, as well as apologize to Nigerians, before stating to the rest of us that it is wrong to rush in on such decisions.
Re: Peter Obi Leaves ADC For NDC by bobochem: 2:54pm On May 03
I told some people that 2023 format will still play out in 2027 election because atiku, kwankaso and obi can't stepped down for one another. And I will advise obi not to be a spoiler for Tinubu because him on the ballot can endanger Tinubu's chances, and I am 1000% sure that the North won't in any way vote Obi .Because believe me if power eventually get back to the North they will want to cling to it forever and don't be deceived the like of Atiku has nothing to offer us in this country.

We wish Obi well in his new destination. All we are asking for is for democracy to be let to thrive in the country. Every politician is at liberty to pursue their individual aspirations. The ADC was clear to him from the get-go. He chose to join notwithstanding and is now free to leave. It's a political party, not a cult.
It seems you cannot read.

You want him to stay in ADC so that a day to the closure of INEC timetable you will use Lifu or Omotosho or Joyce to sack David Mark abi?

We have one VP and 36 governors. So, who's more important?
The Atiku I know won't leave a big thing for a small stuff. OBJ promoted him to compensate Shehu Yar'Adua's PDM clique.

We all know how he humiliated OBJ.
It is common knowledge that OBJ knelt down to beg Atiku for a second term.

We all know what happened in PDP circa 2018 to 2023. So, your tales by moonlight doesn't make sense.

I don't want to talk about what he did to Goodluck Jonathan

Even the third term agenda war wasn't out of a pure heart. He wanted to be President then.

I congratulate President Bola Tinubu on his re-election as President of World's most populous black nation.

We will continue to put you on your toes and ensure that democracy will not die. Whilst I congratulate you, I believe that you have sunk this country far low, hopefully you have time to write your name in the history books, I wish you well.
Tinubu has empowered so many Igbos, I believe this will give him more votes

Honestly, PO has proven to lack foresight and firmeness. If he had the capacity to move with vision he would not had decamped to ADC from LP in the first place only to decamp to another party on short notice.
All these politicians are the same abeg, each is chiefly interested in personal political gains rather than collective efforts that foster national interests.
I don't understand you guys at all all.
It all seems you people are APC agents disguising as motivation speakers.

Do you think if he had remained in LP Lamidi Apapa would have Left LP alone?

He went to ADC and Nafiu Gombe came.

Do you know what it means for the Presidency to be using Federal might, state resources and the judiciary to scatter a political party?
You think they won't succeed?

It's obvious the FG is following Peter Obi and trying to destroy every party he steps in.

I would not be surprised is NDC begins to have problems this week.

And you are blaming Obi for leaving LP and ADC?

Are you smart all?

Nigeria politics isn't for a good guy like Peter obi. Good man with a good heart but can't govern a complex country like Nigeria.

If Peter Obi can't build men or get through the murky waters of the primaries and can't even get his previous party fixed when challenges arose, how sure are we that he can handle the complexities of Nigeria?
Only limited minds think Leadership is all about building men, on a more broader if you cant build men what about inspire lives, be a role model and have people follow you .. thats relative to leadership

you talk about complexity of Nigeria, lets not even fuulls ourselves that not Fixable what is attainable is govt living up to her duties & responsibility

if Kwankwaso and Obi are heading for the same party the only explanation is they are working together, cos it makes no sense to go into same party when none is ready to step down

He wasn't even special as a governor like Amaechi mentioned yesterday. So I wonder why Obidients see him as the messiah. He isn't!!
Becoming the president is just an ambition to him!
He is not doing it for the masses. He's not different from the other politicians we have.
We have seen special governors fumble on national level starting from Fashola and we have seen Mr built lagos .. One we all felt was a visionary fumble nd wumble as president

As it stands maybe its time we stop going for overrated, the sassuolo i underestimated is beating AC milan 2- 0

I want to try under estimated 2027
