People who were foaming in the mouth about Bruno choosing to pass to Sesko instead of Mbeumo the last match, I hope you're all okay now.. Don't know what happened to Mbeumo but he's just been awful since December.. |

afrodoc2:I think any manager will require same backing tbh. Hopefully it's just a blip phase for Amad and Mbeumo, but the midfield requirements will not change irrespective of the coach we get. More importantly, the coach should not be fooled by Luke Shaw. plans should also be made for the LB position next season. |

eph12:Carrick has achieved the barest minimum expected from the Squad. Perhaps if we had sacked the useless Amorim immediately after that embarassing loss at Grimbsy, we would probably be neck on neck with Arsenal and City in the title race. Just like other coaches that have Managed at UTD, Carrick would also be supported during the forthcoming Transfer window. If results start to dwindle under Carrick's nose and the situation looks irredeemable, he would be relieved of his duties and another coach would come in. Its not really too difficult like that |

Jamiuokolaa:💯 His win percentage has been really impressive, although the intensity and sometimes concentration levels has dropped tremendously. I think he needs to put his foot down on the required intensity if he lands the job. |

Jamiuokolaa:This! No time to waste time. Give him 3-5 players, give him a year contract. If he messes up with no hope of getting the boys back on track, sack him and get another manager. Simple! Top teams don’t look for longevity of managers. |

nitrogen:I think Fergie's lengthy reign is partly responsible for some of the weird expectations and mindsets. When players drops out of form, you manage the decline — bench them, rotate them, loan them out. And if the wider context demands it, you consider a sale. Unfortunately for coaches, they do not have that luxury. If results are unfavourable over a significant period , we cannot bench them, loan them out, demote them to manage the youth team etc. Sack/Dismissal/Resignation is almost always the only solution. Soja go Soja come, na barracks dey remain |

Jamiuokolaa:Abeg o Spurs are my second favourite team in England, plus we've always had it tough playing against them but it didn't stop us from winning League titles. If De Zerbi succeed in help Tottenham avoiding the drop, they suppose build statue for him at their stadium... |

CrystalTiger:Even me I will pass to Casemiro (if he was there) instead of Mbeumo currently. Mbeumo no impress me |

engrelvis:You sha want to force Mount into the team. First you said he should play 10. I wonder where Bruno will then play. Then you said he should play 8. I wonder where Mainoo will play. Now you want him to start in attack and bench who? 3 different positions suggested within 12 hours. It just looks like you want Mount to start in any position sha. You don’t know or care about the position. This is before we talk about whether Mount is good enough or fit enough to start sef. |
| Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by afrodoc2: 4:19am On May 04 |
Ellexy:The thing was smelling from the first half. I noticed he was trying to play out from the back more instead of his usual long ball. He actually made some risky burger passes in the first half but Mainoo and co were able to cope. That pass in the second half was so way off. He needs to learn when to play short and when to play long. I am happy he is trying it though cos we can't persist with only long balls. He can do all the learning now that we have made UCL and complete it next preseason. By next season he should be more competent to go either long or short as the situation presents. He contributed to saving our season so i can't be too mad with him over 1 mistake. |

Jamiuokolaa:I agree with you. In the meantime, the complaints about players are getting too much here. Let's tone it down a bit |

eph12:There would always be players that need to sit up/underperformers due to different reasons. That one no be today e start. The Mbuemo wey we buy last summer TW is on the verge of getting a sit-up memo from Fans. This was someone who started the season on fire. There is no perfect squad anywhere abi is there any club where the fans don't have players they complain about? |

| Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by Parizz: 10:53am On May 04 |
Jamiuokolaa:To avoid another oles situation, the best thing is to keep him as interim manager and see how it goes instead of appointing a fresh manager that will hamper the progress of the team |
| Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by Parizz: 10:55am On May 04 |

Anybody that is not Luiz Enrique or in similar level or ahead, I no want. Just keep Carrick. |
| Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by eghos12(m): 1:49pm On May 04 |
Hot take: ole was unsuccessful because he selected players based on big name not by current form. If it was still ishalah tactics he would still have been in charge and won a league |
| Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by CrystalTiger(m): 2:28pm On May 04 |
odizeey:Exactly what I hope they'll do.. Carrick has raised the bar..No need for the unnecessary excuse of suffering, no good players, no preseason.. He's doing his best with what he met.. We've suffered enough, even the Luis Enrique sef has to come in and start getting tangible results..This club no be suffering ground.. |
| Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by odizeey(m): 2:37pm On May 04 |
CrystalTiger:😅😅😅😅 No be lie sha. Results or nothing. But we also don't want to hear that the club won't give the coach players to challenge for titles. If not for Semenyo and Guehi signings, I no sure say City for dey challenge for EPL. Good coach. Good players. Both will be necessary. |
| Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by Lana1(m): 4:04pm On May 04 |
eghos12:The transfers we made at that time also contributed to his sacking. We were 3rd and 2nd came close in Europa. We desperately needed upgrades especially in midfield and we kept buying players that didn't even upgrade the team in any way. We are in a similar situation now. We will see what decisions INEOS will make this time unlike the mumus we had running things back then |
| Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by Ellexy: 4:27pm On May 04 |
I'm still angry at Carrick for packing the bus against this useless Chelsea team and made them look decent. We should have had a complete go at them ffs |
| Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by Leyqute(m): 5:11pm On May 04 |
eghos12:The Ronaldo transfer derailed the whole project. The team, the players, and the manager especially, were not ready for such a big personality, aura, and the expectations that he brings. Yet Ole is still the manager post SAF to qualify for UCL back to back. Of the 6 cup competitions he started and finished, he managed to get to semi final in 5 of them. So yes, it’s possible he’d challenge for the title soon afterwards (or even win a trophy) if things didn’t go terribly wrong in his final season. |
| Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by Leyqute(m): 5:15pm On May 04 |
CrystalTiger:We can all agree that Carrick has done a wonderful job with the team. We can also agree that the summer signings of Cunha, Mbeumo and Sesko played a decent role in recent successes. Imagine how we’d have fared parading Hojljnd, Garnacho, and Antony as the forward 3 instead of those guys this season. They played under two different managers and couldn’t match the output of Cunha and co. We need similar reinforcements this summer. |
| Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by eghos12(m): 5:33pm On May 04 |
Leyqute:I can dear say that if Carrick was the one that coach the remaining of last season with Europa final he would have won it and we will not be 15th |
| Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by Trevor012(m): 5:38pm On May 04 |
Leyqute:Stop all these misyarning. Hojlund dropped double digits in his first season In the league just like Sesko and another 5 in 6 games in the champions league. Amorim misused him just like he was misusing Sesko untill carrick came in and he started banging in goals. Sesko only scored 2 goals in 17games under Amorim but now he has 9 in 13 under carrick and Fletcher. Amad last season scored 8 goals and 6 assists in the league. None of mbuemo or Cunha has surpassed those figures in goal contributions. Amorim drove away Rashford and picked fight with garnacho. He is too blame for whatever issues we had in attack. The same Rashford currently h has 25goal and assists for Barcelona. Leave all these story. Give Carrick the same squad of last season and he will do better than Amorim times hundred. |
