You can ask for a refund, just send a mail to the insurance company and they will refund the money to the same account you used in paying, I deferred my admission last year, and they refunded the insurance fee....I also have a question, do they check POF these days?
Or rather, do they check POF for everyone
Their matter don even tire m especially with all I've been hearing...is there anyone who is also applying for September Intake?
Re: Ireland Study Visa thread,General Life Experience of Nigerians Living in Ireland by completed: 8:13pm On May 02
I am asking because that's what I used and I got mine approved. a lot of documents were attached sha aside the attestation of birth, joining in September

Ayo112:
Yes
Both my own and my sponsor and he got his own notarized there in ireland
Re: Ireland Study Visa thread,General Life Experience of Nigerians Living in Ireland by Ayo112: 8:14pm On May 02
Shally233:
That's not fair, what else do they want??
I even heard someone was rejected because of this same birth certificate issue, that the person dropped Attestation of birth instead of birth certificate from National Population council...it's well
What intake did you apply for initially?
September 2025… I don’t think they go through all those documents at all, everything they said I didn’t do/submit, I did and submitted but they said it was not there for some reasons. The only that made sense in the refusal letter was probably insufficient financial document, then I noticed I didn’t submit/add the financial summary sheet.

If you’re considering appeal, please change your mind because your documents will stay longer with them without getting a decision. You’ll eventually be forced to withdraw the application. Same thing happened to me plus the refusal rates are even higher.
The craziest part is that I tried reapplying and my agent told me I have to pay for another insurance of 200€. lol. Bruh, i didn’t even get the visa talk more of using the insurance. Everything about Ireland is just ridiculous
Your agent lied o, I used study and protect for my medical insurance and when my visa was refused, I personally emailed them that it was refused and I had to defer my application and if it’s possible for them to help move the starting date and they did.

Well I appealed and my everything has been with them since October 2nd and nothing to now. Personally, I do not have any japa plan for 2026 again till 2027 probably January and I’m so curious now to see how their appeal will take and what the decision will be, and what eventually their refusal response will be

the only ones I could remember is my parents marriage certificate and a sponsorship letter signed by my sponsor and lots more. just look for a good Ireland college agent to handle it for you. sponsorship from family members is more complex compared to self sponsorship

Hi everyone, questions for people that have submitted please.

1. Do I need to also submit all pages of all my sponsor’s passports too or it’s just the Datapage?

2. What do I write for this highlighted part of the financial summary sheet?

Thank you all in advance

Hello, let me attempt to answer

1. Just the data page is fine, its the applicant that needs all pages of their passport for visa application

2. The fund availability date relates to things like fixed deposits that mature on a particular date. If the money is in a savings or current account, you can put in 'immeidately'

I want to ask if there's any Whatsapp group for Ireland study.
I also want to find out the requirements for study visa in Ireland
Re: Ireland Study Visa thread,General Life Experience of Nigerians Living in Ireland by completed: 3:43pm On May 06
look for your school agent to assist you, it's free. if you don't have, I can connect you to an agent for colleges in Ireland, it's free

I think you should calm down for now o, the refusal rates is high now, especially for Nigerians
Re: Ireland Study Visa thread,General Life Experience of Nigerians Living in Ireland by Isaako20021: 6:29am On May 07
The refusal rate is high, but what's the main reason for refusal, is it finance or they put a cap on Nigerian s.

Hello everyone. Can I submit my study visa application documents at vfs earlier than 3 months from my intended arrival date of August 28th? It is allowed? Or will there be consequences for not following the 3 months rule? Does anyone know someone that submitted earlier than 3 months from their intended arrival into Ireland, how was the outcome?
Re: Ireland Study Visa thread,General Life Experience of Nigerians Living in Ireland by Kurious04052026: 4:36am On May 11
Yes you can submit.
I know someone that submitted April and has gotten approved
