steady986:Embiid's only competition is Jokic & Giannis. Zubac & Gobert have ceilings offensively. Wemby has length only, strengthwise, he is zilch. He can swap away a layup but cant stop a good old dunk. Vucs, Brooke, KAT, ihart & Chet are nobody. There you have it. Embiid is a still a problem in the paint even to Western teams. Double team him and he has wingmen that can explode. 76ers problem will be their lack of depth. That is where Spurs and OKC come in. |

greypencils:you say I am nobody?🤔 |
| Re: The NBA Begins by birdman(m): 4:48pm On May 04 |
steady986:Embiids ppg and rebounds were higher versus the west this year. |
| Re: The NBA Begins by birdman(m): 4:51pm On May 04 |
A40:It really is Brad's doing. Mazulla is just the fall guy until he can be replaced |
| Re: The NBA Begins by Roland17(m): 3:44am On May 05 |
Wemby is a problem. Man is playing volley ball spiking balls away.. |
| Re: The NBA Begins by steady986(m): 3:51am On May 05 |
birdman:In the regular season, yea? |
| Re: The NBA Begins by Roland17(m): 4:02am On May 05 |
Wemby is altering everything the Wolves want to do inside offensively. |
| Re: The NBA Begins by Roland17(m): 5:25am On May 05 |
I don’t know how I feel about that final possession by the Spurs to end the game. Should M. Johnson have called a timeout? Tough, considering they got the shot they were looking for, especially with their best 3 point shooter.. But again, with a 7’4 player, a timeout for a set play would have gotten you a better chance.. By the way, I hope they force the Meerkat to watch a coach like C. Finch. |
| Re: The NBA Begins by greypencils: 6:51am On May 05 |
Roland17:As in! They needed 2points to tie the game and take it to OT. Better safe than sorry. |
| Re: The NBA Begins by Hohenheim(m): 7:20am On May 05 |
Refs are respecting Wemby way too much cause he had multiple goaltends and was fouling wolves players like crazy to get those 12 blks |
| Re: The NBA Begins by steady986(m): 4:34am On May 06 |
Be like this series go short o ![]() |
| Re: The NBA Begins by SmooshCHN: 9:00am On May 06 |
Sometime please tell Draymond to shut up. We are tired. |
| Re: The NBA Begins by larride(m): 12:29pm On May 06 |
Hohenheim:It's the same way refs are allowing Wolves players to rough handle Jamal and Jokic without doing anything about it. Same way Caruso and Dort are playing violence ball and the ref will look the other way and call it playoff ball. The ref will do whatever they want |
| Re: The NBA Begins by Roland17(m): 6:51pm On May 06 |
birdman:I disagree. Neither Brad nor Udoka coached the Celtics like this nonsense the Meerkat is doing. This is all about the Meerkat. Under Brad we ran a balanced offense and had a strong defense. Udoka took our defense and intensity a notch higher with a structured offense predicated on constant ball movement. The Meerkat comes and decides to convert this team to a 3 ball spamming team! JB and Tatum played under all 3 coaches. |
| Re: The NBA Begins by birdman(m): 7:38pm On May 06 |
steady986:the same centers that play in the playoffs play in regular season na, lol. If their intensity goes higher in playoffs, why wont embiids own go higher as well. Thank God for stats, otherwise you for jus dey argue dey go If anything, sixers should have been punished for keeping an mvp caliber player on the bench half the season for ghost reasons, doing just enough to get into the playoffs, while other teams like celtics risk Tatum to compete |

SmooshCHN:I'm trying to understand what Draymond's entertainment value is and why is he on Inside NBA. I've never found anything he's ever said to be smart or impactful. He's not charismatic nor does he have the gift of garb, not funny, not sarcastic in an intelligent way. He just opens his mouth blaaah and says whatever. Why they think he might be the next Chuck is absurd to me. Get him tf out of there. If he didn't have the good fortune of being drafted by the Warriors nobody would give af about him |
| Re: The NBA Begins by A40(m): 11:22pm On May 07 |
Roland17:Then he should be on the chopping block. Why I'm also putting some blame on Mazulla is that looking at that roster I don't think your boys even have the ability to play any other way. All I'm seeing is a bunch of catch and shoot guys. Also what's up with Jaylen Brown. Why do I sense he's not happy with the Celtics. I've never believed he and Jayson Tatum get along and his recent crashout hints at that. I don't think those two are boys that hang out outside the Celtics building |
| Re: The NBA Begins by birdman(m): 5:18am On May 08 |
A40:My feels is not much makes Jaylen happy. Guy man is too "intellectual" for his own good. I think he and Tatum are on good terms, but Tatum is going to be too low key for him |
| Re: The NBA Begins by birdman(m): 5:23am On May 08 |
A40:He talks a lot, he is there to bring his viewers to the show. That is the way the world works these days. Prove you have followers, and you get a seat at the table. Of course I hate it that such a disrespectful talkative is getting this much airtime. Most young people that copy what he does will fail in life, 99% of the time. This not the way to talk to anybody, wether your mates, younger folks, or respected HoFers |
| Re: The NBA Begins by birdman(m): 5:30am On May 08 |
It was funny, watching Lakers think they had a chance at half time. I see this series as one that will convince Lebron the ring days are over. Even with Luka, Lakers are too old, too slow to play 48minutes of fast paced ball with OKC. Even Caruso looks slow on that team! Lebron can average 20ppg with this crew, but it will not be enough. |
| Re: The NBA Begins by SmooshCHN: 11:08am On May 08 |
A40:Whatever you say man, I agree with you. And to think we'd have had more championships if he or the front office had kept his mouth and behaviour in check. I've been done with him since he chased KD out and hit Poole. He and H.Barnes were arguably the reason we blew that 3-1 lead, pushed to get KD on the team and then started barking saying "We won without KD". Abeg abeg with his hypocrisy. Wonderful player if you look only at his defensive impact and that's it. I honestly rate his "leadership". And then the Steve Kerr slander? He needs to go. |
| Re: The NBA Begins by A40(m): 7:19pm On May 08 |
birdman:Let's be fr. Who's tuning to Inside NBA to hear what Draymond Green thinks on anything? I don't find anything he says entertaining or profound. Actually he tries to be the victim and villain in the same stories. One minute you're the big, bad wolf not to be messed with next minute you're stereotyped and oppressed as the angry black man. Like bro which one is it? You can't be both They're trying to market him as a Chuck replacement but the mistake is Chuck is not ultra sensitive. He can give roasting and he can take roasting without getting in his feelings. Draymond is always in his feelings One more thing is that this ring culture has really been misused and abused. We used to use it to separate guys in the upper room of the 🐐 conversation. The MJs, LeBronze, Kobe, Magic, Kareem, Duncan, Shaq, Bird etc. It was not for passengers like Draymond to shoot at the mouth at a top 5-7 PF of all time like Chuck |
| Re: The NBA Begins by A40(m): 7:19pm On May 08 |
birdman:He might be KD's appointed successor in terms of malcontentment. I won't be surprised if the Celtics are looking to ship him at some point. I like Jaylen's game but he has to understand the days of him feeling slighted and unrecognized is gone. He's gotten his fair shake in accolades and contract. Hell I'd argue the fact that he's been let off the hook for blowing a 3-1 lead that's what he should be really pissed off about. Cos if he's really that dude he would get the criticism of losing that comes with the praise of winning like other superstars do. So perhaps he's not truly viewed as a superstar and it eats at him |
| Re: The NBA Begins by A40(m): 7:32pm On May 08 |
SmooshCHN:The Warriors coddled him and this is the prize they've won for that. I'd argue that 4th chip y'all won it without him. Klay certainly played a bigger role than him for that chip and Klay is gone while y'all continue to allow him overrate his importance whereas he's never been more than the 4th best player for all your chips 15. Steph, Iggy, Klay 17. KD, Steph, Klay 18. Steph, KD, Klay 22. Steph, Wiggins, Poole I don't even agree his suspension cost the Warriors the 16 chip cos he played the last two games and they still lost (fair play on his Game 7 performance though) |
| Re: The NBA Begins by Roland17(m): 8:03pm On May 08 |
A40:The Meerkat converted the corner pieces (JB & Tatum) of the franchise into 3 point spammers. I mean we watched JB and Tatum under Brad and Udoka and neither player was jacking up 3s like they are doing under this Meerkat. When you look at JB and Tatum's physical attributes, they should be driving to the paint. We saw JB during the regular season even after Tatum returned, he was driving to the bucket and punishing teams, so what changed? Tatum has become too lazy, scared of getting injured or comfortable with the 3 ball that he no longer drives. When you look at our typical starting 5 of D. White/ Hauser/ JB/ Tatum/ Queta, outside of Hauser, which other player is a recognized career 3 point shooter? D. White is the worst of all with his irresponsible attempts. He was known for his defense when he was with the Spurs and when he attacked he drove to the bucket but somehow, the Meerkat gets a hold of him and converts him to a 3 ball spamming merchant. As for JB/ Tatum, I think we expect too much from them. Most 1-2 punches never get along, especially outside the court and they are not different. What makes it worse, is that they are distinctively different people outside the court. JB has shown he can be the number 1 in any franchise but I don't think he will get it as long as Tatum is still on the team. I think we have reached the ceiling for both and it may be time for one to move on. |

I especially agree with the last part. I do not think we win that championship without it going down to the wire. It's hard to defend the position. He played the last two games as you pointed out. Surely if his getting suspended led to a loss of momentum, his return should fix it. It didn't. Which means there's probably something else. My guess is that the star players weren't experienced enough, and not as stacked as people make it seem. They won 72 games because they were doing something relatively new. The run to the 2022 championship was the first year i could properly judge Stephen Curry in isolation(as much as i could come close to it). As in can he really carry a team, given his size? I am glad he proved that he could. In short, GSW going up 3-1 was the anomaly. But i understand why Draymond and others would buy into the idea that his suspension was the reason. Anything to make myself more important than i am is welcome. For the first line, while it may be true that GSW cuddled him, I do not know if there's any other way to manage such an oversensitive player without hitting his performance( i maintain that he was important in every championship). You cannot also cuddle such a player without enabling him. So as a business you have a choice to make. They made theirs , and it produced 4 championships. Most owners would take that. It increased the value of the team. A40: |
| Re: The NBA Begins by steady986(m): 7:00am On May 09 |
birdman:Lol. First of all, the Lakers are not old. You can say LeBron is old, but that's it. Secondly, OKC don't even play a fast paced type of game. It's their aggressiveness that makes it look like They're playing fast. They're middle of the pack in terms of pace both in the playoff and in the regular season. They prefer half court basketball. They score fewer transition points than even the Lakers. And they don't even move the ball around like the Lakers do, with or without Luka. Their game is basically give SGA the ball in the half court and let him cook, while the worker bees feed on kickouts and cuts and put backs. |

| Re: The NBA Begins by SmooshCHN: 7:35pm On May 09 |
A40:Draymond and Harrison Barnes were the culprit in that series. I hate to remember that year. Yes he played the best games of his life when he returned but his dirty plays was what led to game 4. I'm never forgiving Barnes by the way. All he had to do was hit those open corner series. After the slap on the wrist from the KD situation, the Poole incident honestly felt inevitable. It’s what happens when bad behavior keeps getting excused instead of addressed. The right move would’ve been to trade him, trade Klay as well since he was already frustrated with the team, but the Warriors had no spine. Now we’re stuck paying him $27M a year to put up 8 points, 5.5 rebounds, and 5.5 assists. At this point, we deserve every bit of nonsense coming our way. |
| Re: The NBA Begins by birdman(m): 7:36pm On May 09 |
steady986:Embiid, thank you for letting me down just in time, just like you did in fantasy playoffs lol meanwhile, we need your commentary on the impending beatings your Lakers will collect tonight |
| Re: The NBA Begins by SmooshCHN: 7:49pm On May 09 |
benji93:I agree with the last paragraph however, knowing when to move on is part of business. Wasting four years of Curry’s prime after the last championship is honestly criminal. I refuse to believe the Warriors can’t find a better option than Draymond by 2027. His defence, atrocious offense he Balmer Steve Kerr for, questionable leadership can definitely be outsourced. I may be overreacting but I think he would be much more valuable and happy to play alongside his bestie in L.A |
