The way Keane, Neville and Scholes talk down on Carrick surprises me..Are they envious of Carrick or what because their so called criticism is just somehow.. |

CrystalTiger:Lol... ![]() All these guys were failures as managers. It is very easy to sit behind a microphone/camera's and bleat out controversy in order to attain likes and curate clicks. Carrick has actually been clever to avoid replying them and just got on the job of winning as many games as possible and attaining Champions league qualification. Carrick is doing his talking on the football pitch and that is the most important thing. No distractions. Its called Keeping your eyes on the ball.

CrystalTiger:they are paid to be chatterboxes. they'd purposely say controversial stuff in the morning, and probably call Carrick in the evening to say it's nothing personal.. just work. |
| Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by Goosethetruth(m): 5:52pm On May 08 |
As far as I am concerned,Big Peter Schmeichel, Dimitar Berbatov,Wayne Rooney and Owen Hargreaves are more reasonable pundits and very fair in their analysis of Manchester United issues. Scholes,Neville and Keane are just being unnecessarily controversial in order to promote their podcasts. They are interested in their pockets. They know controversy and running against the norm sells on the Internet. They are simply business men searching for number one. People like Neville shouldn't be running his mouth. He was a very lucky footballer. Average at best. He was an even poorer manager, one of the worst in La liga history. But then controversy sells. People are not interested to hear a dog bit a man but they are certainly interested when a man bites a dog. It is the way of the world. |

Under-21s beat Man City's side in the PL2 semi-finals. City's Reigan Heskey is a bad boy. |

afrodoc2:Those City kids are monsters. Terrifying machines. They should’ve been 4 up in the first half if not for poor finishing. They’re readier for first team football than our boys, especially physically. We were lucky to win. Opelope Lacey and Obi. Looks like they’re forming a partnership. Lacey was really good. But that Heskey boy. Ijaya. I can see him becoming a successful professional footballer. Very wicked boy. |
| Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by afrodoc(m): 2:09am On May 09 |
Leyqute:Reigan Heskey showed Kamason pepper. If you allow him cut inside na sure fast past hanging, if you let him go on the outside he can either bend his run and get in front of you or cross with his left. If you stand off him he will pick a sure nicely weighted pass, if you stick close to him he will roll you with his superior strength and be through on goal. I would be interested to see how well he does in the senior footy where his physical advantages are nullified. Then the guy on their other wing McAidoo is the reason Mantato plays LB for England instead of RW. If not for community defending he would have disgraced Diego Leon today. It would have been nice to see how he would have played against Kukonki. |
| Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by Leyqute(m): 3:46am On May 09 |
afrodoc:I even forgot about Leon! 😀 Not a pretty sight. Harry Amass is definitely ahead of him in terms of technicality and football knowledge. He’s just got that rawness and a strong mentality to make it. Hopefully we can sell him for a decent profit. I noticed that those City kids play as if they are more coached. They are like machines. Their play feels rote and structured, unlike our boys that were more…human? Not saying one approach is good and the other is bad. But it’s an interesting phenomenon, given the argument that creativity in football is dying with accusing fingers pointing at how academy players are being brought up. Effective, clean and clinical. |
| Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by afrodoc2: 4:05am On May 09 |
Leyqute:Their academy is the best in the country for so many reasons. Firstly, they scout some of the best talented players in the country. Only Man Utd and Chelsea are close in terms of the overall talent pool in the academies. They also have the best facilities and staff that money can buy. They have better coaches and staff and they have more coaches and staff which helps with development. If you look at the benches tonight; we had 1 physio and 1 conditioning coach while Man City had 2 physios, 1 conditioning coach, 1 nutritionist. The difference is clear like 7 up in terms of the overall setup and player development but we close the gap because we have 1 or 2 difference-making players. |
| Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by Leyqute(m): 4:20am On May 09 |
afrodoc2:Is Chelsea the only academy down south with good repute? I’ve heard good things about Crystal Palace and West Ham as well. City is the best in the whole country and probably Europe. United attracts talents mainly because of the brand. |
| Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by afrodoc(m): 4:37am On May 09*. Modified: 5:08am On May 09 |
Leyqute:Chelsea and Arsenal are the best in the south. Arsenal are very good at producing 1-2 difference makers while Chelsea usually has a large group of dominant physical players. |
| Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by Leyqute(m): 5:42am On May 09 |
afrodoc:Yet most of those academy kids don’t make it. I still marvel at how luck and timing plays a big part in transitioning to senior team. It’s not easy at all. I’m anticipating that FA Cup final. If we win, na miracle. Gabriel’s form needs a resurgence. Next season is going to be hectic and hopefully, a few of them can be counted on to fill in when we need to rest some seniors. Obi, Lacey, the Fletcher boys and a few others should get some minutes. |

Congratulations to Bruno for winning the FWA by the way. |
| Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by afrodoc2: 6:23am On May 09 |
Leyqute:It is a game of arithmetic. Every 1-2 years you have a new set of talented kids, but the top clubs have a limited number of slots to fill. Saka and Odegaard for example have been holding their spot in Arsenal and have seen off numerous left footed AM academy hopefuls with potentials. Another thing is that some people are late developers who start excelling at 21-22 meanwhile most clubs decide academy players fates by 19-20. Yeah, next season we might have rely on some of them to chip in a few minutes here and there. Everything depends on how much we do in the transfer market and how well some of those guys develop over the summer. At this point i think Lacey, Obi, Devaney are the readiest for the senior team. Kamason just got back from a long-term injury, but he could be ready by next season. Thwaites is better technically than the Fletcher twins but i am not sure about his physical development. The best thing for all of them probably is to go on loan next season to gain regular minutes at a lower level but i am not sure we can afford that. |

Carrick no rate Ugarte at all. With Casemiro out he has Mount partnering Mainoo in midfield. |

.....open heart surgery is still required. Half of the team must be sold; Mount, Zirkzee, Ugarte, De Ligt, Malacia must go. All players currently on loan must be sold. Casemiro must be allowed to go in peace. |
