There is a portion in the form that asks, how much do you intend to spend on the trip. Your answer to that quesion will determine if these financials you have stated is tenable or not. Your circumstance will play a huge role. Are you a first time traveller to the UK? What is your travel history and the quality.

However, if I am to work on the assumption that you haven't been to the UK, Schenghen, Canada or US and you will be responsible for all your travel expense including flights, accommodation and miscellaneous, this your savings won't fly. Hold on for a few more months and build that number to at least 6m.

Chances are quite slim. It’s better to get a sponsor or build your account to a reasonable amount, around 7m or more. My wife recently got her visa with over 8m in her account, and I also supported her application as a sponsor

Please house I am planning to invite my wife before the end of this month, the only strong tires back home is that she's the primary carer of our kids, she's into content that generates so level of income but not registered.

Please any advise from experience people in the house on how to plan along. Our kids will be with her mother whilst she visit for 2 to 3 weeks

It depends on the visa officer. Try to make it max 2 weeks on the form. However, the application needs to provide clear evidence that leaving her children behind in Nigeria is sufficient to outweigh other factors and demonstrate that she will return. This is because she has strong ties to the UK as well —> you the husband, so the decision often comes down to weighing her ties in Nigeria versus the ties in the UK. May the best man or child win lol .

No.
It won’t work with top up. She should be able to sponsor her trip as an adult. She is not a mother or dad coming to visit their child or going for their child’s graduation. Refusals are high now especially if no travel history, no good financial standing, no palpable ties, no palpable reason for visit etc. They would look for a reason to deny. You can try if you don’t mind the possibility of a visa refusal on your immigration journey.

Can someone please advise what i can do in my situation. I'm planning to go to the UK for my OSCE exam via self sponsorship for 5 days . I currently earn 350k take home and spend 80-100k monthly which brings my savings to 250k monthly. At the time of application, i will have a balance of 3.9million and I plan to spend approximately 2 million for my travel expenses ( Airbnb, flight, feeding etc ). Is this a good plan or what can i do to have a better chance of getting the visa?

Please don’t apply, because they are unlikely to grant you a visa. Spending above 50% of your total savings on a 5 days trip may be considered unreasonable by UKVI. Even your proposed ₦2m will most likely not cover your total expenses, considering that the cheapest flight ticket alone is around ₦1.5m.

So what should i do? Cheapest flight is 1.1 million from air maroc. Abuja to London. What should i do then?

Thank you for your response. I just applied on the UK website. I’m trying to book my biometrics on vfs site but after selecting Lagos (Ikeja/VI) I can’t find my preferred date which is may 26. Only may 18 has some appointments but whenever I click may 26 nothing pops up. Is it that the date is too far and I’ll have to be checking when it’s closer or that date is already unavailable? I couldn’t also pick any date after it

From my calculation, the amount you intend to spend on your 5-day trip is roughly equivalent to 6months of your savings. For UKVI applications, spending above 2–3 months’ worth of your salary on a short trip can raise concerns.

I would advise you to strengthen your finance or consider getting a sponsor to support your application.

I plan to stay for two weeks, I earn 450k and spend 200k so my disposable income is 250k.
I’m getting a letter of introduction from my office and I’m also running a masters programme. I’m currently engaged

I need an advise on how to go about this. I'm a registered nurse planning to write my OSCE exam.
Net Salary: 510k
Monthly expenditure: 100k
Savings: 400k
Balance when i will submit the application: 7.1m
Travel expenditure: 2m
Visit duration: 6 days

I have seen where they advised the travel expenditure shouldn't be more than 3 months salary. In my case it's like 4 months salary and 5 months disposable income. Am i good to go or any advise on how i can strengthen my case. Thanks
