Only someone who can't read character will doubt that Obi will truly only serve only 4 years. He is not like BAT or like other politicians. But I predict that after the 4 years Nigerians will be clamouring for him to continue but he will adamantly refuse!

A region that hasn't produced a head of government since Aguiyi Ironsi wants to do only 4 years? Unbelievable. This man has an hidden agenda and that alone is scarier than Tinubu completing his second term.
Go to school you said no. THIS MAN HAS A HIDDEN AGENDA not this man has an hidden agenda. Na your type dey say school na scam

Why is it that people alway look at things from the purview of "kinsmen"?. Because they are so tribalistic, they believe every other person is like them.
LibertyRep:
Even his kinsmen will curse him if he tries that nonsense.

Not to talk of his supporters.

He has integrity. That is all I know as an Anambrarian who witnessed his government/leadership in Anambra.

What happened to the promise to never leave APGA? Laughable stuff
Re: Peter Obi: I Want To Be A One-Term President Because Of Stability by EponObi(f):
This narrative alone is enough to make him lose the election. He must think Nigerians are toddlers like his obidents.

I don't know who his political strategists and advisors are. Not sure if he has any.

You say you are not desperate but show every sign of desperation in the books.

You are not the first to make this kind of fake promise. Nigerians' memory of GEJ is still fresh, especially the Northerners'. That kind of promise is only a one-time-use and GEJ already exhausted it.

Obi needs maturity in national politics.

So the Igbos will produce the president for the first time since 1966 (no VP since 1979), and they will only do one term? Will your people even agree to that? In fact, if they are serious, they should work against your ambition and propel other serious people to the forefront.

To make matter worse, he was governor for 8 year without any tangible footprint but he's saying he can make Nigeria work on 4 years. Lol. By end of March 2027, you go commot make we see front.

NLCreator:
Peter Obi, presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP) in the 2023 elections, has defended the purchase of sports utility vehicles (SUVs) for members of the national assembly.

There have been reports that the leadership of the 10th national assembly has bought SUVs for all lawmakers.

Each SUV is said to be valued at N160 million.

The LP had asked members of the party in the national assembly to kick against “wastage”.

While responding to questions during a press conference in Abuja on Monday, the former governor of Anambra said the SUVs are not personal cars of the lawmakers, noting that they are for official use.

“Let me start with the issue of Labour Party members in the house. I have actually discussed this issue with them,” Obi said.

“Surprisingly, I can tell you I heard that these vehicles are official cars. They have to use it. It is meant for office.

“So it is not as if it is their vehicle. They said it is official cars and you are meant to use it while you are in the senate.”

Obi also hinted at contesting for the country’s number one position in 2027, adding that Nigeria deserves dedicated and visionary leaders who will lead the country towards a brighter future.

“’I cannot take anything back about Obi. I said Obi said he wants to move Nigeria back from consumption to production and I said that is not true. He cannot do it because his own business survives on consumption. Is that a lie? He has been an importer and I said he deals with cash and carry economics; container economics, imports”.

“All the goods that can be produced in Nigeria, Obi imports them in his supermarkets. That is consumption economics. That kind of person cannot tell you that he is moving you from consumption to production. He will then be committing self-economic suicide and Obi will not do that to himself”.

“So, Obi is deceiving everybody and I can’t take that back because that is true.

Obi has made it clear that he is not too desperate to be a president, rather he is desperate to see a Nigeria that is working. He wants a Nigeria where an okada rider can become a senator as long as he has something upstairs. A Nigeria where public funds are not sent on personal luxuries.
He has demonstrated all before. Your president is the Lagos state landlord while Mr Peter Obi is a business man who just have one house in Onitsha. He rejected land gift and shunned pensions for past Governors. His record with World Bank and reforms educationally as a Governor has proven that he is the best man for the job.
Yet, he has been busy dishing out millions to support schools from his personal pocket.
Show me Tinubu charity gifts when he was not in power, but we saw bullion van during election going to his house.
as if he wasn't the person that ruled in Anambra

Don't tell us what he can do as president, tell us what he did as governor

Saying the truth and keeping promises seem to scare some of you because you’re used to politicians who say one thing and do the opposite.

I can understand where you’re coming from, in a country where honesty and accountability in leadership have become rare, integrity now looks strange.

Peter Obi is simply reminding Nigerians that he is not desperate for power. Politics should not be a do or die affair, it should not be a grab it, snatch it, and run away with it affair. Leadership is about service, not conquest.

And yes, four years is enough to begin turning things around with purposeful leadership, discipline, and competence.

After all, if Tinubu’s administration could plunge the country deeper into debt, worsen inflation, increase hardship, weaken the naira, deepen insecurity, and leave Nigerians battling constant electricity issues within a short period, then meaningful recovery within four years is absolutely achievable with the right leadership and dedication.
hope u remember he vowed never to leave apga?

Igbos are not interested in the normal Nigerian regional presidency to loot.....to install their tribesmen in every position in government.....we need someone that will sincerely transform Nigeria with honest policies and projects that ordinary people can feel.

What a Nigerian President needs to do to transform Nigeria and reposition Nigeria for greatness is not even up to 5 and they can all be implemented in 4 years.

1.) Complete electoral reform to remove rigging and make it less than 10% so that any credible Nigerian can emerge elected leader without bowing down to political structures of criminality and political godfathers. With this alone, every elected political leader in Nigeria will start working hard to deliver on his or her campaign promises knowing that's the only sure-way to secure a second tenure and for his party to stand a chance in future elections. If Tinubu had done this, believe me, Nigeria would have entered a new phase but Tinubu is a very cunning, deceptive and corrupt man so he couldn't do what is right in our electoral reform act.

2.) Implement State Police fully without fear after No. 1 has been done.

3.) Reform our judiciary completely.....I wouldn't want to go into details here

4.) Revamp our seaports......decentralize it and remove bottlenecks on our seaports.

5.) How do we change our nation's situation from consumption to production? I won't be detailing this here.

6.) Fight against corruption must be revisited.....won't reveal details too

How do you want us to trust such a person huh
You are deluded oga...

I can wager that you have never been to Anambra State once in your life or interview people who are on ground to know Peter Obi's scorecard as governor...

Re: Peter Obi: I Want To Be A One-Term President Because Of Stability by LexFlex10: 10:06am On May 14
One thing everyone should know is that 4 years wouldn't be enough for a sitting president to restructure a country like Nigeria..

We once believe in Goodluck Jonathan but he failed us be accepting to step down without completing and finishing what he started now look where we are today

And now Obi is here promising us he wants only 4 years to rebuild Nigeria but how can that be possible my fellow country people

I saw in a dream that God plans for Nigeria was for Obi to rule for 12 years straight without obstruction from any opposition because that's the only way Nigeria will be balanced in every sector

So please Obi if you know you're not ready to carry Nigeria to the next level please step aside now because once you become the president you much run 12 years sad
