Yea the home-cooking in game 2 is going to be monumental…but Wemby is something else. It would take keeping him on the bench for the Thunder to win game 2. The wingspan of Spurs players is a big problem for SGA, worse still, Wemby is sitting there waiting for anyone to venture near the paint.

M. Johnson… My apologies dawg! This man is a coach! He sticks to the game plan, never waivers. Credit to Mark Daigneault, despite SGA’s struggles, he found ways to keep them in the game, especially on defense.

Wemby will change any team’s offensive plan, he is that impactful. Outside of Wemby, Spurs have players with some good wing span that can keep any guard honest. They steal, strip, rebound and make every drive to the paint difficult. They are such a such an intense side.

With all that said, this was just game one. They need to replicate this performance in game 2. If they go 2-0, then OKC is in real trouble.

Adam Silver can't afford Spurs to take a 2-0 lead to SA. They need this series to get to game 7 for maximum milking. I expect OKC and SGA to get that whistle and tie up the series.

This series may be determined by injuries. As it is, the Spurs are more vulnerable because of their thin bench. All players being healthy, Spurs in 6.

I love it when guys are fueled by pure hate. The series IMO will come down to how much can Chet slowdown Wemby. If he is ducking the smoke then it begs the question how the hell did you make him a max player.

The edge of having quick perimeter guys is nullified. The Spurs have that too.

So if Chet can't compete with Wemby and put him in foul trouble being a threat offensively then OKC are going to have to rely on the 3ball. Or some home cooking to put SGA on the line. Caruso is not going to be on fire and drop 31 next game (who knows)
