Shukurat Oladipo named Serie A defender of the season and also made the XI of the season She’s knocking on the SuperFalcons Starting Eleven Door…….! Ohale, Demehin and Alozie should watch out. Thank Goodness she can play Center Back and Right Back.

Maureen Umeughochukwu 24yrs, known as The Nigerian Wendie Renard, has secured promotion to the top division in France 🇫🇷 with US Saint Malo. Nigeria 🇳🇬 will now have a tall ball playing Center back playing in the French top flight. Some of her attributes; Elite passing range, dominate aerial duels, high composure, vision, and excellent reading of the game..

Schemerkhiz:Wendie Renard my foot. As soon as she won promotion the 1st time she ran back to the French 2nd division. |

| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by Schemerkhiz: 6:40pm On May 19 |
yinkeys:Wrong the Italian league is better and more competitive than both, the Italian league is currently 5th behind England, Spain, France and Germany in Europe.. |
| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by Schemerkhiz: 6:42pm On May 19 |
gomol:Don’t worry she will play in D1 next season, there were some factors which I can’t state here that made her leave Nantes FC back to US Saint Malo after gaining promotion two years ago.. Played 21 league games and 2goals this season. Don’t also forget that the France D2 is the equivalent of the Turkish League, Poland, Israel and Greece. And playing in England D2 best those leagues by far..

| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by Schemerkhiz: 6:49pm On May 19 |
Predator87:Sounding as if she went back to D2 on purpose, if you know the story you won’t sound this way… |
| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by Schemerkhiz: 6:51pm On May 19 |
isan:Would say yes because these ones have been tested and trusted at the highest level… 💯 She’s a ball playing defender and her performance will certainly speak for her when the time comes.. |

Schemerkhiz:What position does she predominantly play for Roma? |
| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by AndSunGorilla: 11:33pm On May 20 |
Schemerkhiz:That's a huge accomplishment!!!!! One of the revelations of Coach Madugu!! |
| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by AndSunGorilla: 11:36pm On May 20 |
isan:The league always produces. That same league produced Demehin, Nnadozie, ohale, Rashida, Asisa, Uchenna, abiodun, ayinde, ijamilusi etc |

TheSuperNerd:Interesting, Justine usually plays her at RB and seems to prefer Isah over her as CB backup. |

Chiwendu Ihezou is on the bench for Pachuca 😳 |
| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by TheSuperNerd(m): 5:55am On May 21 |
Nice to see her return to the matchday squad even though she did not come off the bench. Gift Monday did though. Deborah Abiodun did not. They won 1-0. So Washington Spirit vs CF America in the final of the Concacaf W Champions Cup. BascoVanVeli: |

AndSunGorilla:Which revelations?? Say something better. |

AndSunGorilla:Sikiratu Isah 28yrs doesn’t even deserve to be there in the first place…. If Okeke come back, she should be gone! She isn’t an imposing Center Back as Shukurat and Okeke are way ahead and plays in better leagues.. This 4 CB’s are good to go for the WAFCON Osinachi Ohale Blessing Demehin Shukurat Oladipo Chidinma Okeke Fullbacks Ashleigh Plumptre Michelle Alozie Nicole Payne, Imuran, anybody else and I guess this is where we really lack, like for like replacement especially on the left side as Oladipo is good enough to go as Right Back as well. |
| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by AndSunGorilla: 11:47am On May 21 |
Schemerkhiz:Who gave her good playing time with the SF? |
| Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by lovewins: 12:08pm On May 21 |
AndSunGorilla:"Revelation" isn't quite the way to describe it as it connotes discovery which doesn't apply here. Shukurat was already the best defender/player out of her u20 class and the u20 to super falcons pipeline has been as old as the super falcons itself so it was bound to happen, was just a matter of when. Worthy of note also is that Randy Waldrum gave Shukurat her first Super Falcons call up during the Olympics qualifier game against South Africa. The invitation continued with Madugu after Randy left upon the completion of the Olympics. Also, not sure what you consider "good playing time" cause no one will consider her stint so far with the Super Falcons that. |

So little said of Rofiat Imuran who I feel deserves more invites than she has gotten so far. I know she did not exactly finish the season in the starting lineup of London City Lionesses but she did garner enough gametime and impressed multiple times when she playes LB. She should seriously be in the mix for the Wafcon as Ashley's backup. Schemerkhiz: |
