As a guy you need to be nicer to the lady you intend to keep for a serious r/ship but not overly nice, appearing needy, forcing yourself, doing it too oftenly.
Reasons:
1. It takes women some times to be fully committed to a guy while it takes a guy few minutes to ask her out. She need reasons to be committed to you over other guys
2. Other guys are hitting up on her, if the other guy is nicer, humorous, more presentable than you. She will definitely wants to be with the other guy.
3. If she's already in a r/ship with you but later finds a guy who is better than you she will definitely break up with you or worst cheats on you with the other guy that's if you weren't good enough for her.

I tell guys if you keep another woman outside your main woman, never let your main woman finds out because women never forgets, if opportunity presents itself she will do worse but if she has no evidence fear of God won't let her especially if she has kids with you.

You will argue women have no emotions, they are worst than some men yet a wise guy will take her, set her and get that good girl working and starts making kids with her while you are shouting I can never date a second hand girl forgetting you weren't good enough. worst case you will dream of taking her away again but that's in your fantasy. Point is no one is perfect and you cannot afford the most perfect person cos someone made them perfect.
