And you think it's easy for a family man to save 100k from 280k abi?
Do you know the city they are living?
Do you the cost of house rent there?
Electricity bill,Cable TV subscription,data, airtime,medicals, transportation to work on daily basis,etc.?
The man is even trying to squeeze out 50k, maybe he is saving like 30k from the 50k every month for the rainy.
100k from 280k is not realistic in today's Nigeria economy.

One of the biggest blunders a man can do is to allow his wife know what he wants and how he spends it . It's should be on the exclusive list and a no go area for a woman. She also has siblings let her siblings world and send money to her own mother too. Self entitlement. They soon forgot that the guys parents went through hell to make him what he became today but they want to shove those Innocent parent s out of harvest and take what doesn't belong to them.

My guy , reduce how much you give her and add it to yours , if she is not comfortable let her get it elsewhere or you change strategy by buying majority of the foodstuffs at home and pretend as if you're helping her so that her brain will come back powerfully

But if the wife has no grown up brother, then maybe the man should try and squeeze out something for them.

The woman should be the one squeezing something from the 150k he gives her.. Don't tell me u expect a man that keeps only 50k for transportation and other little things to still squeeze something from that for his in-laws

Why not monthly, why once a while his age parents are his responsibility, so after suffering to take care of his children they won't be there for him at his old age, only that if he has siblings he has siblings it should be coordinated.

Given his salary, sending ₦50,000 monthly to his parent isn’t a wise financial decision..I’m not against supporting one’s parents, but with his salary in today’s Naija, that man is struggling. How can he even cover his own bills?

You are only there by a legal document called marriage certificate and pussy, not a blood line. Which means one day you can wake up and leave the marriage but his parents will remain till they die. So face your marriage or divorce period

The #150k should be for feeding and general upkeep of the house which the man will benefit from.

The 50k is for the man to transport himself to work daily throughout the month

Why should a man allow his wife to know the actual amount you receive a salary. Women always want to finish your money until you have nothing before they will be rest assured you have nothing to spend outside

Where are your own siblings to help ur parents first? It isn't mandatory he helps your parents; only occasionally when the comfortable. Or, the needs arise....... Hasn't he paid ur bride price, and more?
