I stumbled on a post on this topic and I flashed back to my personal experience some years ago. So, let me start with mine. Mind you, I am now happily married with 3 children.

Some years ago I was doing strong-head chasing for this Kogi babe I met during NYSC. She relocated to Sokoto after camp. One Friday night around 11p.m., she called me on WhatsApp:
“Babe, I just dey miss you anyhow. If to say you dey here now…”

As Lagos boy with mumu love, I stood up from my bed in Surulere. Next thing, I was at Jibowu park. No toothbrush, no ATM card, just ₦18k and the hoodie I was wearing. I entered God is Good night bus to Sokoto. Sixteen hours journey o.

I didn’t even tell her I was coming. I wanted it to be a “romantic surprise”. I arrived Saturday afternoon, dusty, smelling like conductor’s armpit, and called her. She shouted: “Ah! You no serious! I just landed in Lagos this morning for my cousin’s wedding!”

Immediately, my brain reset. I stood under Sokoto sun for 10 minutes, calculating my life. I used my last ₦3k to buy fura da nono and sat at the park. Then, I took the next night bus back to Lagos on Sunday. Roughly 32 hours on the road total. She sent me “awww thanks for trying” with laughing emoji.

Till today, my wife still calls me, “Sokoto lover” because I told her about the experience... and NEPA took light the day I tried to explain myself.

I collect 70k loan from easy by to flex a girl that stay in another town .
I send her 5k for tafair , down to my town I paid for 20k hotel room when she came she said she was hungry I bought 8k food for her why I bought 1500 naira food for her self I bought h r 3k ice cream and black bullet for her , Omo when we start work this girl when dey claim good girl the whole place has been brutally destroy d thin no dey grip my stuff at alll omo everything wide thank God I use protection if not I would have been treating infections like this. Omo I just dey think my life all night I have to force myself to do 2 rounds more due to the hotel room I paid for make money no go waste breast done fall patapata . I still have her 12k home for thanks for coming . Omo she dey call me tire I no pick and I no block the love fade once.

A few years ago, while I was still in the university, I called my boyfriend's mother to report what her son did to me. She added his wife to the call. I never knew or suspected he was married. It was really a shameful experience for me.

I think I risk my life traveling from Lagos to ilorin in the night. Started round 4 ad got to ilorin around 2am. My heart dey pound gbi gbi. I sure say if any of my ex ever hear say I do that kind thing for one woman, Dem go too vex, infact fight fit enter.

This made me remember when I was on leave in February, I was trying to woo this girl I met weeks ago then in February, we started talking and she made it known to me she was single. Then I thought I would do everything to gain her heart cuz I'm also single and to me God has finally answered my prayers.

We got along nicely, smooth conversations, started talking about being romantic, at times I would go to her office when she's free and we would gist for hours. To me, the bound was already created, I started feeling accepted by her. I would buy her food, gift items when going to visit her and even wait till she closes from work then I'd escort her home.

On a fateful day, I had planned to prepare a meal for breakfast, I didn't inform her I would be coming to her office to share some of the meal I had prepared, then I dished part of the meal in a cooler set, took it to her office in the morning as a surprise just for to know how caring I can be but to my greatest surprise, she asked me to leave quickly that she had a visitor and she wouldn't want her 'visitor' to see me. I agreed and handed over the food to her only to see a tall guy coming to her office as we were talking, this girl was so excited to see him, shook his hands (maybe she didn't want to hug me) cuz I was still around) and ignored me. I stood outside for some minutes and then decided to leave.

Afterwards, on my way home I texted her to ask why she would ask me to leave and left me out there to follow some other guy? She responded with "But you always come here anytime you like and this person came from a very far distance so are you jealous"?.

I took it as a norm. Then later that evening, when she had closed from work, I texted her how I would retrieve the cooler so I can wash it.

Lol, that's where she flared up that I'm not matured and that I'm childish bla bla BLA and that she can never date me cuz I'm acting jealous. She wouldn't even let me speak or say anything to defend myself to tell her I didn't mean it the way she thought. Well anyway that's when she stopped talking to me oh to cut long story short
