One reason why our mothers took nonsense from our fathers was probably because many or some of them had our fathers as their first love, while several ladies of this generation gave their first love to their EXes, not husband. Another reason was probably because many of them gave their virginity to our fathers, while many ladies of this generation had various sex before meeting their husbands.

If you ask many ladies of this generation, they may tell you that they were stupidly in love with their Ex or Exes, so they may have been exhausted when they met their husbands. If they had married their Ex, it may not be same story.

Again, our fathers were more mature in handling things than many guys of this generation.

I speak in general terms. We still have several good people today.

Life was much more simple and less complicated and most especially decent in those days...

What you call nonsense today back then was just strict roles which everyone knew their parts and adhered strictly to!

Honestly, you can't be assuming that your mothers and grandmothers were saints back in the day when you weren't there to confirm everything when your grandmothers conceived your parents and your mothers conceived you.
