This is actually very weird and irritating
I'm anybody but OKC atp. It will be a stain to the NBA if an SGA joins the pantheon of greats with B2B MVP and FMVPs

I wasn't sold on him from the beginning but I became more open minded to his style because he was playing to his strengths. Heavy dose of middies and little 3pt spamming but whatever he is playing now is just not basketball I'm sorry.
Re: The NBA Begins by A40(m): 9:28am On May 26
I will not join the Mitchell blame game. He's the only one that tried.

Allen, Mobley played soft. Wth hell is up with Mobley. Wasn't he supposed to be the next KG?

Harden? Lmaoo. The Cavs will be insane to extend him. Allow him play his final year and if he throws a hissy fit look for a trade and see if another GM will fall mugu like you and believe you can win a chip with Harden

You mean when he throws a fit.

Look, it was Spyda's day in court, and he lost badly on the big stage. Not his fault, but it will still stain his rep. Unfortunate, because they would have ripped up last year's scoring challenged knicks if not for injury.

It will be really funny and really stupid. Front offices should know the times have changed. Superstars and superteams will win you nothing ATM. Youth, strength, talent, hunger & discipline will. OKC, Spurs and Detroit, Celtics & GSW have dropped blueprints on how to build through the draft alongside supplementary pieces. Any other experiment will fail at least for now. Teams like the Knicks have done well to build a decent roster with no outstandingly big names at the inception of building the team, no batmen, just a collection of robins and outright nobodies.

The Cavs are just a mentally and physically soft team. Talented but soft.

They also have no perimeter guards that can slow down the other team.

They could have greatly used an Anunoby, Hart, Bridges type. Big above average defender wings that are not necessarily offensively challenged as well

Harden can do whatever he likes the Cavs would be insane to extend him
Re: The NBA Begins by A40(m): 1:23am On May 27
Williams and Mitchell out. We're going to find out how deep OKC is today

If you don't have at least two two way guards or forwards you are absolutely cooked.

There's a reason OKC are not completely crippled by Williams and Mitchell's absence. They have like 3 replacement guys that can produce at 80%

I am looking at the Lakers too. If they like let them give big money to Reaves and close Luka's title window completely

The days of ball dominant-heliocentric guards are done
Re: The NBA Begins by A40(m): 2:23am On May 27
OKC showing their depth oh. Champagne is the only reason this is not a blow out

Wemby and Castle have been ghost

And Caruso. My word is he the greatest role player the last 20 years or what. Lakers really shat the bed not retaining him

Better than D. Green?

Yes. I don't know how well Draymond performs outside Golden State system

Plus after they got KD Draymond was more noise than anything else

People underrate just how little Draymond contributed to the 4th chip

At all at all. At least people will relax on the hyperbole and let him mature first

Na experience and OT OKC dey use chance these boys

I meant Danny Green. Danny did it with several teams, at least 3 at a top level.

Draymond is a product of the Warriors, I doubt he is this successful out of the Warriors.
Re: The NBA Begins by Roland17(m): 3:39am On May 27
Castle has a lot to learn.

The officials by the way are making this homecoking obvious.

M. Johnson called for a challenge right in front of James Capers and was ignored.

It's just annoying to watch him since on the baseline
Re: The NBA Begins by larride(m): 3:59am On May 27
The spurs has to be absolutely furious with the kind of numbers Fox is dropping. Wtf

This nigga is meant to be the one with the experience. Horrible shot selection all game, his middie sef are an eyesore just bricking shot for the fun of it.

It'll do the Spurs a whole world of good to trade for a guard that can actually score.

17 free throws. For SGA alone. This isn't basketball

I still have Caruso over Green cos he's more integral and just the glue.

If you watch this OKC team he gives them that experience and edge. Defense, offense whatever they need any given night

Look at him just banged another 3. 20 points now. Caruso is legit
Re: The NBA Begins by A40(m):

SGA 30pts. 6 made FGs

People gotta stop with this ref narrative after every OKC win. These guys execute at a high level consistently.

I don’t think anyone remotely denies that. They are vastly more experienced, particularly with players who are on the rotation and furthermore, they have a great coach, whose gospel I have been preaching on this thread for a while now.

With that being said, the officiating has obviously favored OKC and maybe because they have earned it and know how to get it but the refs are easing them as well.

Two truths can mutually exist.

The offensive player with the ball will always get the benefit of the doubt. OKC has 5, maybe 6 players that can play fast, dribble around for 20s and not lose the ball, and still make a fadeaway jumpshot. Or be aware enough to find the best open man.

Spurs are playing a different game. One truly special, unstoppable player that the team is built around. New school vs old school if you will. Problem is, the one superstar is a big man, and can not play even 10 minutes at the pace OKC plays.

Spurs do have some hope, they have guards that can step up and play like OKC does. But it is hard to erase a regualr season of bad habits in one playoff series. Spurs guards especially, have gotten used to playing like donkeys sometimes, and Wemby's brilliance covered tham.
Re: The NBA Begins by SmooshCHN: 1:08am On May 28
The way you guys are oversimplify how poor officiating changes momentum is astonishing. No wam.

I just know if Steph or Lebron got the SGA treatment, they'd average 40pts in a season.

How exactly can you prepare for this kind of behaviour? How much experience can save you from this? https://x.com/fifty7cal/status/2059475697161441327?s=46

Re: The NBA Begins by birdman(m): 1:16am On May 28
my man, if na 3second offside perspective you wan use determine matter, you are on a long thing. you can always find tons of these. Go checkout kobe lakers. Those miracle 3s your boy Curry be taking, you think folk didnt want to get up in his space? Prime Harden, you fit body am? Make una stop this SGA hating and give the lad his flowers. The one you just even posted, the ref looking from the front has a better view, and that could very well have been more physical than it looked to you from the back. E lo calm down abeg.

And Steph did get the same treatment, which is why he never had to build body strength - you couldnt even breathe on him, talk less play him physical! At least you can body SGA, you wan try am with Curry? lol you seem to have forgotten so quick....

This one too? Haba Birdman. The overall officiating is shameful. It's fine if you don't agree but it's he truth. Plus the Spurs have to play better.

And then, don't lie against Steph like that. He isn't known for flopping and flailing about. Steph runs around like a madman. NBA players legit say the same thing about having to guard him especially off the ball. Not the ? Superstar treatment

I agree that OKC got some ref home cooking in game 5 but Spurs got the same in game 4. I just hate how mainstream the whole OKC can't win without refs have become.
